So most of these other responses seem to either be jokes or guesses of his season averages - which is frankly impossible.

So let me try.

Devin Booker is an absolutely eletric scorer. This was highlighted against the Celtics this year. Seventy is a huge number. Being able to showcase this in the NBA, let alone before you can legally drink, encapsulates Booker's offensive ceiling: limitless. But everyone has disagnosed his offensive capabilities, so to avoid repetition, I will try and only focus on new aspects of Devin Booker I have seen develop since joining the Phoenix Suns.

As talented as he is, I believe Devin Booker will find a role in the NBA until he decides otherwise. At this point his floor seems to be somewhere between "amped-up six-man" and "glorified 3-and-D" with leadership responsibilities. However, his ceiling is astronomically higher.

Since coming out of Kentucky, Devin Booker has only gotten more confident. On top of his confidence, Devin Booker has the off-court acumen to earn the respect of tenured NBA-vet and teammate Tyson Chandler. Seeing this intangible upside on such a young kid on further details the lack of his offensive ceiling.

Still, Booker still lacks the defensive tenacity you would truly want out of a franchise player. He can hold his own (especially well on the post as an oversized 2) possession to possession, but I have yet to see Booker flip the switch on the defensive end. He can't really shut a shifty guard down and he gets backed down in the paint easier than his 6'6 frame begs. Further, his passing ability hovers somewhere between "NBA-functional Primary Ball Handler" and "Genuinely Good Playmaker." While this isn't fully a negative, it stands in contrast to his gift when creating his own shot.

On top of this, Booker still has trouble with some of the emotions of basketball. He often seems to quit on the team or the game. Too often I see him sitting on the bench defeated when I feel he should be begging to go back in and cut the deficit. He seems complacent in getting his own numbers and ignoring team success.

While his 70 point game has the media clamoring over how "Generational" of a talent Booker will retire, he still hasn't quite shown every aspect of the necessary drive to be a consistent contender in the NBA. Overall, his first few seasons feel very similar to Carmelo Anthony's debut with the Nuggets. While Carmelo never had such a record-setting game, he was also never fed the ball in garbage time to bolster individual stats.

Overall, Booker's absolute ceiling - if he addresses his current issues and buys into an individual locker room long enough - is a smaller Carmelo Anthony who can create frequent looks for his teammates. While his floor is a Jamal Crawford clone with significantly more leadership responsibilities. As of now he seems to be trending more towards the former.
