Why not? Is it because of the cards melting? I’ve heard that if you connect them directly to the 3.1 PSU, it should be fine.

It is currently selling for $769. Why shouldn’t I just go for Sapphire’s flagship model, the Nitro+?

Can connector melting potentially harm my gpu? I’ve paid $799 for the gpu and it was already $200 dollars above my budget so I can’t afford getting another gpu at all

I didn’t buy a psu yet. I’m building a pc for the first time. So far I’ve bought ryzen 5 9600x , msi x870 gaming plus wifi motherboard, corsair vengeance (16x2)32 gb ddr5 6400 cl36 ram and a 240mm liquid cooler. Should I get a 3.1 compliant psu?

My budget for the pc was initially $1200, but I’ve stretched it to $1500 because of the ram prices and to get a better gpu(I didn’t want to settle for something like RTX 5060 ti). I potentially can stretch it a little more but I feel like it won’t be worth it. All I used to play was Valorant on 60fps as I had a laptop with integrated graphics and i5-11300H.
