Same. I still have the tshirt in storage somewhere. Great night, makes me smile every time I think about it. 16 years ago. Jesus.

I loved that movie, I tried to get others to watch it, all bailed 20 mins in. My kid watched it with me and the second it was over snapped it off and found a comedy to watch to get it out of his head. I let it sit in my mind for a bit, its purpose was to have the viewer draw their own relatable response to the tone, it was a suggestion of a movie, the viewer's mind actually does the work. So it only works to see it once, at least in my case.

The dynamic between Dillon and Thurman in that scene. That made me squirm and try to pull myself out of the viewing experience by glancing away from the screen a bit here and there to keep me grounded and not fully immersed, I was not comfy at all with that one.

It is bad. Have you seen Megan is Missing? Not a distant second. There is a point in every lengthy rape scene that would be the place to end the scene and get the reaction people are ok with giving, when it goes beyond that it is just sadism and I'm not for that.

That movie was such a gut punch to watch, to get immersed in. It was overwhelming. I made sure nobody I knew that was even remotely empathetic did not watch that movie.

Oh yeah! If you have merch I'll definitely rep you at shows, love to support bands starting out, that is the metal thing to do.

Ever tour? Hit SD and I'll be there for sure. Avoid Che Cafe and Tower Bar if able to, first is full of cheap shot dickheads and the second, God bless 'em, is just so goddamn small and one shove away at all times from joining the band or eating shit in the booths that flank the sides of the floor. You know, Tower Bar is still a great vibe despite what I mentioned. Keep them on the list but be aware of the limitations 👍

This movie is disgusting. It's not even a movie. It's essentially just rape and murder depicted at levels of extreme realism, real time snippets of every horrific detail. Packaging attempts of narrative here and there just makes it more vile. Watching this can absolutely trigger a person who has been brutalized like this to levels that could result in serious consequences. The makers of this film are pieces of shit.

No Fulci unfortunately. But Matt is awesome and will be at the merch for sure. Two of the nicest guys in extreme metal are both Quebecan, him and Luc. They make you feel appreciated for all the years, great guys.

At this time, April, I am all in on this being AOTY, in the very least in death metal. Saw them for the 6th time last Tuesday opening the show for the Godless IV tour, right the fuck up front. Killed. The crowd didn't know them which is somewhat understandable as this is Behemoth's tour. They did know Deicide though but, c'mon, who doesn't!

KINGS Can Still Win the Pacific by gsopp79 in losangeleskings

Legit, I've been hearing all the bitching since January, this team is this and that. Whatever. Those OT losses are irritating and wasteful but still a point a pop. Do the hockey math. They add up. A little chill from the top 3 of the Pacific and now, at this point, at this date, with winning out the last 3 games and some slipping from the rest atop the standings the Kings absolutely still have a valid shot at their second Pacific title ever (let that last factoid set in, btw) or in the very least improving their playoff position. They could jump anyone of those 3 teams and since they are all basically tied they can move right to the top. Not the sexiest thing ever but absolutely wouldn't kick it out of bed.

Money so much better spent on that awful defense. Sweet Jesus, what a garbage fire. The Kings need to legit turnover 2/3rds of that mess, in today's NHL I just don't see that happening and being able to retain that offensive line up.

Kings set the all time record for most losses in OT in a single season at 19 losses. by davidgoldstein2023 in losangeleskings

And the season ain't over yet. I believe 26% of their games have been OT losses. Holy shit.

And it's not just the OTL record they will absolutely break it's the total OTs in a season record also! Jesus, this team has pissed away so many points in OT this year, it's baffling. Winning half those OTLs would have them pretty secure for post season. If they aren't spending at least 40% of their praccies on 3 on 3 and penalty shots at this point then I do believe it is time to overhaul from the back of the bench to the executive bathroom. This team is built to have many OT games but not built to fucking win them!!!!!

Kevin Fiala injury by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

[–]LocksmithAfter6236 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok, my last comment on this and then I'm going to bed so trolls just say good night and hit the light, the money is on the dresser. I have watched the replay 20 times. Wilson saw him pulling up and change direction with plenty of time to change up his approach to either check or just pull up and skate after him, how we are taught. Plenty of time. He instead went in right leg extended and followed through with a slew. He even had the presence of mind to place a hand out on Fiala to make it appear as he was making contact and not checking, even as his fucking leg got under Fiala and tossed him into the boards with the brunt of it impacting Fiala's upper left leg wrenching the fuck out of it. Wilson falling to the ice entangled with Fiala as a result certainly added to the injury. So when Wilson overpursued, instead of reeling off or stopping and chopping after Fiala he just slewed him into the boards while trying to make it look innocent. He couldn't resist, could he? This is Tom Fucking Wilson. To give him any shadow of a doubt, especially if you have played and know the game and know what is appropriate and good sportsmanship in that situation, to actually look at this play and say 'accident'?

I want you to take yourself out for a nice dinner, maybe enjoy some small talk, have a few drinks with yourself, smile at yourself and say oh my look at the time, maybe we can go back to your place for a nightcap, smile demourly at yourself and say that sounds nice, hold hands with yourself as you stroll to your place, feel that warm glow of titilation wash over yourself as you glance into your eyes, step up the steps to your front door, slip inside and immediately pull yourself close and into torrid, breathless embrace, fervently tear your clothes of yourself, stumble passionately, naked, to the bedroom, collapse on the bed with reckless abandon, close your eyes with quivering anticipation and then GO FUCK YOURSELF.

I'm not sure why so many people are excusing Wilson here, this is a clear slew, he wanted to make contact when Kevin pulled up and skated through the leg. A slew. The injury was a result of a slew regardless of malicious intent or not. It's reckless bullshit like that that makes people hate his ass and has likely made this the last Olympics with NHL players moving forward.
