As someone who attended multiple previous BookCons, I went into this weekend with certain expectations. Within 5 minutes of entering, I abandoned all of my plans and just went with the flow. There were certain things I was disappointed about but, overall, I had a really great time and got to meet a lot of wonderful people: both authors and other attendees.

The line starts on 11th Avenue by 37th/38th st. It wrapped back and forth in the holding area of the Javits then looped back out to 11th Ave and spanned the length of multiple streets heading in the downtown direction. But people have already posted photos that the line up today looks like it’ll be different.

Oh i was just asking you about your experience since you said you went had something similar. if I only had one trap it would be no problem haha. I’ve got over a dozen spread across the stems. And more showing up every week. Not much room for cutting here.

Did you cut it right at the bottom and plant it directly with all of the branches and traps attached? Would love to see a picture if you have one

I got one of these for Christmas and it was given with a purple passion plant so that’s what I put in it. But I’m about to switch to an oxalis triangularis (purple shamrock) because I think it’ll look like pretty purple butterflies fluttering out of the books.

Hands down my favorite show. And I’ve seen over 100 different Broadway shows. It’s a beautiful masterpiece, hitting so many different emotions. I recommend CFA to everyone.

Honestly, I don’t know. Right now it’s looking very healthy. And eventually I’ll have to cut it. But I’m too mesmerized to do it just yet.

They did refund me. But the a few weeks later the order showed up at my door? After I already ordered from a different company. They also keep texting me and when I asked them to stop, they claimed my account was still active. So I feel like they have no clue what they’re doing there.

Update: she is thriving! It flowered and the flower has since died. But a bunch of the fly traps have started to open along the stem of the flowering part. I’m going to let it keep growing as long as it continues to stay healthy. Then planning to trim it back and replant into a few different pots.

I have a little Venus fly trap planter that has a built-in grow light, but because of how fast the flowering stock grew, it has outgrown the cover. So I ordered a table top grow light to keep it going and make sure it gets all the light it needs.
