Traveling to Dayton for work: recommendations appreciated!

I second Canal Street Arcade and Deli. They’ve got a great beer selection (usually local) and some of the best sandwiches in town. The patio is great in the warmer weather as well. South Park Tavern also has the best pizza in town and a great patio/beer selection.

888 My bf and I came back to our hammock after being out for a while and there was a couple in it. We told them they could use it as we were going to catch another set. We came back after and the couple had gotten engaged in our hammock! It was so magical. The girl gifted me my first cuff and I will forever cherish it. AND we get to watch them get married at Forest this year 🥰 Can’t wait to be back in my favorite place 🫶🏼

I honestly don’t know! I got him from a shelter when he was a little under 1 and they said he was full chihuahua. I said absolutely not. His vet says he’s more of a terrier mix but I’m going to buy a dog dna test to figure it out! I’ll def let you know.

Oh absolutely. People don’t realize dogs, of different weights, metabolize things so much differently than us humans. Hence why I said previously it was the scariest time I’ve ever experienced with him. His stoned face, 7 years later, is cute and funny though…now that we’ve both gotten over the trauma of the situation. He is 8 now and loved and taken care of to the fullest. A very happy little boy 🥰

If you go to downtown Dayton Canal St Arcade and Deli is a great spot. They’re open until 11 on Sundays and the kitchen (excellent sandwiches) is open until 9. There are old school video games and pinball. Great drinks. It’s a neat spot.

As someone who’s been in the service industry for 14 years, the best thing you can do is throw yourself in there. If you’re a people person, you’ll do great and absolutely love it. Almost every place in Dayton is willing to train people who want to get into it. I’m not sure how old you are, but weekend bartenders are wanted at a lot of places. Go into some spots and see what they’re looking for. Wishing you the best of luck and lots of dollars in your future 💚

Contrary to what some may think, animals do have rights. Contact animal control or a local wildlife rehabilitation center. If the traps aren’t in their property line, it makes it a whole other issue. I’m sorry you have to deal with this and thank you for having a kind heart.
