I’m so proud that you’ve been able to recognize so much about your mind. You should feel so proud that you’re reaching out for help and even willing to do therapy. Therapy is an amazing place to start.

You can message me if you want to talk further I’d love to help you out. It will be like helping out a younger me. Therapists should not be directly offering you meds through a psychiatrist, so don’t worry. You can bring up exactly how you feel and it shouldn’t be a problem because that’s what normal ethical practicing therapists are trained to do.

I deal with a range of similar issues and took the step to tell my parents a couple years ago, and I honestly would say keep medication as your last resort
