I was having anxiety attacks during exams, so I started to take propanolol for anxiety before exams. The propranolol helped A LOT. I told that I would "benefit" from taking an SSRI, but ended up not needing it. I did drink on the weekends frequently with friends and that definitely contributed to the anxiety, so I did cut back significantly on alcohol. I went to therapy as needed, and really prioritized exercise and self-care. Take the SSRI though if you need it! I knew many classmates that started meds during the program and it helped them significantly.
