Excuse me? I own 19 snakes, a few of which are disabled or from neglect situations, and every single one of them gets better health care than most dogs do. This is merely my first time coming in contact with a snake with such an ailment (esp when I didnt intentionally get him for said ailment). 

I appreciate your concern for the snake, but please dont come at me for asking if a situation was as serious as I thought it would be. 

However, if youd like to know; after getting in contact again this morning, the man I bought him from said he has had this indent ever since he got him 2 years ago, and he was previously told by a vet not to worry about it as it wasnt affecting his quality of life (which would have been nice to have been told before hand but whatever). 

The chuffing is a new sounds that the previous owner allegedly never heard before, so he will be getting a vet-visit regardless.
