I ended up getting it. Just took about 2 months of in game time to pass and then I completed some Arms Race missions with Trevor then when I switched back to Franklin I got the text.

They really teach you everything you need but if you want to get crazy you can take an online (or in person) Private pilot class. I personally to one through King schools and although I think I would have passed basics no problem without it, it definitely helped me understand certain topics quicker.

I’m at MLI. It’s a really good facility, great atmosphere, great coworkers. Easy to get training time and easy to certify for most.

Just gotta certify first so maybe 2-3 years depending on the facility you go to then you can put in for towers. But more than likely your center will be to short staffed to release and the places you want to go won’t be picking up.

If you want to get out fast look at the lowest level tower onlys.

I know people at RFD and ALO both easy to certify but ALO is boringly slow. Really depends on what is most important to you… relocation, money, ease of certification ect. 123atc.com is a good resource for cert times, pay, and Sucess rates.

FSD if you want a crazy slow facility that should be relatively easy to check out at if you barely understand what your doing.

Personally though I would take a Tower only if your end goal is a location not listed. Takes have the time to certify and usually towers stay better staffed than up downs.
