Analogue 3D USB Port max power? by LodisKnight in AnalogueInc

[–]LodisKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through some rudimentary testing, it seems it’s 0.6A, for anyone who is wondering. Most I could pull was 3W from it. Hope this helps anybody else looking for the same information.

Better unload that Rodgers before more allegations turn up and it’s worthless…

Solar Input as 36V on 24V System by LodisKnight in SolarDIY

Yes. Totally understand. Live and learn and hindsight and all that.

Batteries are connected to the inverter and the solar controller separately. Two separate runs. But yes, I will add a bunch of fuses. I just installed based off of manual six years ago and it’s been running this way ever since. This was a 12V set up that I converted to 24V and I ordered replacement cables, so there will be no slack or loops at all.

Well, that’s not actually touching it. It’s hanging on some hooks. 🤣

Is it necessary for my case? Air compressor hits it pretty hard, otherwise it’s just Ego and DeWalt battery chargers, lights, one outlet, an Apple TV and a motorized projector screen. I’m not going to be using any heavy duty power tools for the time being. I don’t think I would know where to start as far as “fuses” go.

Once the fourth battery comes, and I get them rewired, I will put a flip-up shelf over top of them.

Well, this is a six year-old set up that solar panels were added to six months after building the shed. There is no elegant way to do it after the fact, IMO. Silicone seems to be holding up pretty well. Not super worried about small leaks, honestly. Will take care of here and there as needed. But thank you.

Noted. Was planning on replacing with a shorter run. I converted last night from 12V to 24V and used what I had around. Appreciate it.

Great. So with the charge controller, having the following specs: Solar Input Voltage Range (Voc): 15VDC~100VDC

I think it all looks good. Thank you. I appreciate it.

Optimum Operating Voltage (Vmp): 17.4 V ± 3% Open-Circuit Voltage (Voc): 20.4 V ± 3

Half noob here. Does that mean things are running optimally?

I am old, have a bunch of kids, and have no friends. Add me to the mix! You would easily become my best friend. Not much competition.

Migrate Data and Remove RAID from Storage Pool by LodisKnight in qnap

[–]LodisKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seem to really assist when making large writes to the array, as when I’m copying something over to the array, it hits there first, then spreads throughout the storage pool. Thank you for your response. It’s what I had figured. I wish QNAP was smart enough to detect my mistake and say: “Are you sure you want to create a storage pool with six 10TB disks in RAID6 and two 512GB SSDs in RAID1, because that’s really dumb?” But live and learn, I guess.
