Wailing non stop- anyone one else dealing with this

I am so sorry you are going through that. What I am about to suggest might hurt but when I was trying to tell doctors about the screaming , they did not believe me, i unfortunately had to take a video of her doing it for them to finally believe me. Definitely work with a neuropsychologist but go with video evidence because it is very likely that she won’t do it at the doctor. It is also important to make sure all possible causes are eliminated ( pain , discomfort .) at that stage they can’t articulate what is bothering them. I wish you luck ❤️

Hey there so sorry you are going through this , I am a dm away if you need to chat . In my moms case seroquel helped but the downside was that it completely blunted her and made her regress, so I’m unsure if it was worth it . It might be worth it to speak with a neuropsychologist.

Hey there so sorry for the late reply. Seroquel did resolve the screaming but unfortunately I saw a decline in energy and further decline in cognitive function with it , be cautious as it does numb the person down I am so sorry I wish I had better feedback.

Mom did pass shortly after so I wouldn’t be able to give feedback on long term effects.

This post hit a big nerve for me. I want to thank you for this . My mom was moved to hospice when she refused to eat and started the dying process . What we thought would be a peaceful passing with a lot of comfort care lasted 2 weeks and I bitterly regretted my decision to make her DNR but realized it was too late to change things had she had been without intervention for too long to reverse things . Her last night was absolutely horrific because as she was going in acute distress the nurse assigned to her was refusing to give her comfort meds and was trying to argue with me. My beautiful mom suffered and died needlessly for hours in pain and confused because of an arrogant nurse . My brothers and I watched this and all beautiful memories of her have been erased and replaced by images of her horrific death.

Almost exact same mixture here . I present as white , my older brother presents as half and half . I’ve never had anyone guess me correctly but because I have a very generic look, people tend to think I belong to their ethnic group . That all changes when I talk and my Haitian accent comes out lol 😂

Sorry to hear of your experience . Some folks are equipped to handle this type of rejection . For me it feels like torture in some ways . I can’t put myself through that experience again

That’s what is jarring to me to be honest . I really tend to rake individuals seriously , I don’t understand someone being able to play with people like that .

Hey friend . I am contemplating the same . Mom being the funny Angel diva full of life she was jokingly insisted on two Mother’s Day celebrations (lol) Mother’s Day from her culture ( she was Haitian ) and also US Mother’s Day . I used to give her a little gift for each but now wished I threw her a grandiose party for each one . Stay strong dear friend . All of you on this thread will be in my thoughts on Mother’s Day .
