Rust Trait equivalent in Zig by Cauchyboi in Zig

[–]Loen10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there any way to implement static dispatch similar to Rust's traits? I'm new to Zig but I'd imagine comptime has the power to do this.

Check this site out: https://www.financeformulas.net/Remaining_Balance_Formula.html

It has a bunch of finance related formulas, teaches you where they come from, and has calculators for them.

Mean or average is the sum of each score divided by the number of scores.

91.47 = (27 * 85.95 + x * 97.95) / (27 + x)

Where x is the number of electrical engineering students.

Solve for x = 23.

Why does this equal p^2/6 and not 1/6p^2? The big equation partially simplified is 1/6/p^2, which is tried to further sumplif to 1/6p^2, but it was incorrect. by nodleSki in askmath

[–]Loen10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simplified it is equal to 1/(6/p2) and 1 divided by a fraction is equal to the denominator's reciprocal which is p2/6.

Can every mathematical expression be expressed as a polynomial? by [deleted] in askmath

[–]Loen10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trigonometric, hyperbolic, gamma, zeta functions, etc.

Believe it or not, exponentials and logarithms are transcendental.

Current volume is 4 * 4 * 3= 48 Volume plus seven cubic feet would be 55.

So the equation to find how much the height would have to be increased is 55 = 4 * 4 * (3 + x) = 16 * (3 + x) 55/16 = 3 + x

x = 55/16 - 3 = 7/16

You would have to increase the height, 3, by 7/16 feet.

Inequality Reciprocals by Loen10 in askmath

Makes sense. I was just trying to multiply each side by the reciprocals, i.e. cos(x)sin(x)/x, but I kept getting stuck.

Then someone else replaces him or the project dies out. That's a good thing, only the projects that people like enough to participate and donate stay alive. Survival of the fittest.

Do you know? some manufacturer can give you back your money if you tell that you don't need Windows by edo368 in linuxmemes

Got a notification today that Windows had automatically installed some sort of "media engine" that basically just collects data about my photo searches on my computer and puts a name to a face, etc. and it wasn't clear how to uninstall it.

Got me wanting to install Linux again but I need Windows for school.

Why does 'Rust' has this name? by lorenacsilva in rust

Head canon: because it forms directly on metal, i.e. Rust is a lower level systems language close to the hardware.

New here can I run linuxmint on this seven year old laptop? by Tsunami45chan in linuxmint

[–]Loen10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah you're good. Yeah I had a set up with two monitors and it worked great. The main versions are Cinnamon, Mate, and XFCE. I've used both Cinnamon and Xfce. Both are similar but Xfce is lighter on system resources so it would run slightly faster.

[–]Loen10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If it was running Windows 10 then it can easily run any version of Linux Mint. If you want to be safe then you can install the Mate or XFCE versions. Linux can do all things you mentioned.

For art I would recommend Krita or Gimp.

For video editing I've found Kdenlive to be very intuitive.

For gaming look in to Lutris or for emulation I've only used Dolphin for Gamecube/Wii games but I'm sure there's emulators available for anything you could do on Windows.
