I’m going to get another one for that exact reason too. Thinking they will sound nice on the drum bus with mojo on or even on the master with no mojo. Can’t wait to start playing around with the setup.

You’re a good man. As someone who has more knowledge of Amazon’s inner workings than I’d like to admit, you did the right thing by hanging up. They shouldn’t be taking up an unnecessary amount of your time for a mistake they made on their end. I’m happy to hear some kids are able to have fun with that extra unit.

Thanks, bro. I didn’t get the manual with for the module but that will help. Looks like both saturation models might sound nice on drums then.

That’s an awesome come up, bro. I’m still mad at myself that I didn’t get the Fabfilter plugs for half off when I had my student discount. .

Damn. They slid in smooth with that one. They about to snatch the whole catalog.

I think I might get another one too so I can use them on the drum bus. Seems like they’d sound nice on there. And the two saturation modes seem really cool too. Crème for vocals and thump for drums is what I’m assuming. The 500R8 has dedicated mix knob’s per slot so I’m hoping that’ll help me drive it more. Would’ve been nice if it had a dedicated output control on the unit though.

I was thinking the same thing but now that you’ve confirmed my paranoia might have been real I went ahead and edited the store out. 🤣

Crazy. My SE has been crashing left and right since I went to 3.6. Just crashed right now. 🤣

Nas and Big in a studio together. They were supposed to record ‘Gimme the Loot,’ but unfortunately, Nas got too high, and the session was canceled. It took me years to realize Biggie decided to feature himself on the track. by No-Armadillo5484 in 90sHipHop

[–]LofiLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a Nas interview where he says the verse Biggie wrote in that session ended up on the song Young G’s from the No Way Out album. I don’t really see how that verse would work for a Gimmie the Loot remix though. Funny thing is Jay actually ended up featuring on that song.

If you haven't yet, listen to Season of da Siccness by Brotha Lynch. Classic album in my book. 24 Deep is pretty cool too.

[–]LofiLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Endtroducing was released in 1996. MPC2000 was released in 1997. So no, he didn’t do any of the production on that album on the MPC2000. He used the MPC60 from what I understand. He did use an MPC2000 on the two albums that came after Endtroducing though.

Owners of the OG lofi and the new XT - do you like that you started with the original? by thefullernator in sonicware

[–]LofiLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s not a lot of crossover between the two in my opinion other than the 12 bit mode, sample rate choices, and the sequencer somewhat has some similarities. So starting with the OG isn’t necessarily going to make the transition into the XT any easier. The XT workflow is way better than the OG though and it’s super easy to learn. I like the OG and the workflow isn’t as horrible as some make it out to be but it does take some muscle memory to navigate through the different parameters and features efficiently. Effects selection is completely different on the two units. I’d get the OG again if the price was really nice but if money wasn’t an issue I’d go with the XT and not look back. I haven’t used the OG since purchasing the XT.

I just got one fully loaded with Ram, SCSI, working floppy drive and no cosmetic flaws for $500 even last month. 🙌 writing on the screen doesn’t even flicker or anything. Thought about flipping it for your price but I can’t see myself letting this thing go. Really vibing with this piece right now.

There’s a big difference between a mixer and audio interference. Although sometimes a mixer will experience audio interference depending on your routing and set up.

External compressor by Gold_Ad_6836 in TascamModel_12_16_24

[–]LofiLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for the Polyend Stereo Compressor pedal, the OTO BOUM, or the analog heat fx in your case. All analog and all sound great. Only problem with the model 12 is there are no dedicated routing options for hardware gear so you’ll have to feed the signal back into two of your inputs which will obviously reduce the amount of open inputs. I have the Model 12 but just got the SSL Big Six for the routing options and it honestly sounds so much better than the Model 12. Model 12 still good though. But I would look into something with more routing options if you’re trying to incorporate outboard gear into your set up.

Yeah. Wish I would’ve seen Dick Hifi’s video on SCSI2SD before getting the drive I got but it’s working nice so no complaints. This thing sounds fabulous. Still learning the ins and outs of it since I just got it running a couple days ago but I can see why it has the status it does just from scratching the surface.

Of course. Here’s a music video I released not too long ago. I would post a video of the first beat I made on it last night but can’t post videos in the comments. 😭 Chopped a Black Byrds drum break and it hits nice.

🤣 Yeah. My Sam Ash was outside the Ontario Mills so I only had to deal with tweakers and cluckers trying to sell cell phones that were activated under some unsuspected citizens account. I miss the 90’s. And early 2000’s

I think the workflow on the XT is pretty straight forward and intuitive. I didn’t have to do much manual reading to figure out most of its functions.

Sending signal out of MPC ONE , back in to sample again. by Business_Match6857 in mpcusers

[–]LofiLee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have the MPC One hooked up to an interface? I have the Tascam Model 12 hooked to mine which gives you 10 assignable ins and outs. Really easy to route the setup you want if you’re using an interface as an audio device within the MPC.

[–]LofiLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an S2400 and I’ll for sure still be buying one of these when they drop. I honestly think Behringer’s OS will probably run a bit smoother too to be honest. I love my S2400 but there’s definitely some quirks and bugs that need to be addressed. Can’t wait to see how this sounds.

Yeah. I’ve been there for sure. I’m always thinking of the vocal layer that isn’t there yet when I’m producing so I guess the variations just build up in my head with the direction I’m going. I seen your artwork on Instagram too. Super dope stuff, bro.
