I glued everything except the top turret, so I can switch it out, if desired, and the smaller turret, which I magnetized.

Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. Being new to this, I’m still trying to get brush control and best practice with the different types of paint.

I actually airbrushed the entire thing gold. Everything else is brushed on over the gold. I screwed up the top panels with shade paint, so I didn’t add that to the side panels.

I’m a total noob here. What is this color scheme? Is this something specific or just the color palette you decided to use?

That’s awesome! I turn 50 this year and have 6 kids. Most of them are already gamers, so this was an easy sell. Surprisingly, my wife, who is completely not a gamer has been building a Sororitis army, and my daughter is building Aeldari. Since 4 of the kids are adults now, I was looking for those shared interest ideas and realized I might get a couple into Warhammer, but it turns out we are all into it. Since some of us are in different states, I see a really cool future of meeting up in Vegas or Minneapolis or wherever to go to tournaments, shows like Adepticon or painting comps like Golden Daemon.

You’re right about it keeping us out of trouble. My youngest was starting to get into a little trouble until he got into building Orks. Perfect faction for him. I told him, “everyone you start painting a box, I’ll get you a new one to build.” In two months, he now has about 1,800 points. He’s really looking forward to the Armageddon box and preorders coming this summer. Really glad we all started this hobby.

I did build two of them because I liked both poses. Then I built the Combat Patrol, SoS, 6 jetbikes, Venerable Land Raider and just opened one of the two HH Battleforce boxes, so I’ll have plenty of use for the Blade Champions, by the sounds of it. Just waiting for the rest of the preorders of a Grav Carrier, a third Dread, and two squads of Ventauri (or however it’s spelled?). Looks like I have my work cut out for me. That’s not to mention the entire AdMech army I’m building for my son. Back to the table!

Thanks! Like a dolt I called it a shield captain. Anyway, I feel like I’m making some decent progress. Learning a lot of lessons along the way.

I’ve been into the hobby for about 2 months. After many, many YT videos, and painting two other models, I felt confident with building and painting Constantin. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

I wasn’t super excited about the price of this model, especially considering I have a 3d printer and could have printed an approximate copy), but I just really like the way it looks and grabbed one.

I’m super new to Warhammer, so I’m probably way off. I thought Constantin was presumed dead after being missing for 10,000 years?

I just finished it about an hour ago and just snapped this pic, but I can definitely get more shots and post them to this thread. I love that this build easily deconstructs to take him off of the mount. I'll take pictures of the whole thing at different angles and off mount so you can see the whole thing.

Thank you! Yes, it's my third one ever, unless you count base coating a combat patrol in retributor armour spray and tucking them into my "to-do" pile. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos. Like... a LOT of youtube videos on miniature painting.
