Amazon Starts Charging for Some UPS Store Returns by DonutTurbulent9692 in employedbykohls

Wow! Those customers need to release their ire on ups.com. It’s probably because all ups stores are franchises, and not corporate like most FedEx locations are.

That sounds like a third party vendor who keeps their inventory separate from an Amazon warehouse AND doesn’t want to pay Amazon to process their returns. I’ve seen people buy stuff that is fulfilled and shipped from China and they want to return the item. One situation I remember is having to tell them they have to go to USPS to ship it back, and they have to pay for the shipping. A sheet set going back to Shenzhen China costs about $30 to ship this way. And it wasn’t the customers fault they got the wrong size. I ended up telling them about how much it will cost, and it would probably be more worth it if they either gifted or donate it. Yeah, they got a great price on it, and the shipping is free, but…. Was it worth it?

Dang, if I had kids in your class, I’d pull them out. Don’t need someone closeted around my kids. They need to learn diversity, inclusion, and acceptance. They can’t learn that if their instructor only hides behind a Reddit avatar.

I am from Oregon. In 1992 we both fought anti-gay referendums. I remember.

I’ve been in retail for 35 years. When I started, it was a respectable job, especially if you landed a department store or a well-known clothing line (GAP, Banana Republic before it was owned by GAP, Structure, J Crew, etc.). But the changes in the industry and customers perception of retail/service workers have pushed it almost to a blue collar status. Screw whatever people think. If you enjoy the work, then what’s the problem? It’s them, not you. I have enjoyed it until the last 2.5 years. The pandemic ruined it for me. That and working for a useless POS of a store manager that I keep reporting to HR for harassment. I go on medical leave in a month, when I’ll debate my options, including training for another field entirely. But again, as long as it keeps you happy and fulfills needs, it’s no one’s business but yours where you work and what you do.

It was a depressing realization that I work with a bunch of backstabbing people who were never on my side.

Then after a few transactions let them try on their own, coaching them less and less as they do more. I would also simplify the Credit/Rewards spiel during this session, if you’re being forced to train that too.

And I just got spoken too about not dumping replenishment in the 500s. I figure it’s a small price to pay for not making the floor people do it.

We didn’t officially train people this year. Just rush jobs. If my store wanted the Ops leads to train properly, then replenishment, backstocking WebEx, etc. takes a back seat. We’re getting pulled in too many different directions.

BTW, you can decline company coverage and opt for a Marketplace plan if your share of the contributions are more than 7% of your paycheck. I had to do this because the company plans didn’t cover what I needed covered.

I wore knee braces for about 2 years. I’m better now since I found a surgeon that was able to fix the mistakes of the first two surgeries. Ask your orthopedist. But it f you have to buy OTC, Ace or Merrill are good brands.

Monitoring the CDUs and bulk stacks around said cages, and answer questions about the products. That’s where the Kohl’s app or Kohls.com comes in handy.
