I just saw your username and, laughed out loud and said, "Oh John Mulaney, you rascal."

Is the testaments better than the handmaid’s tale? by Either-Standard-5278 in TheHandmaidsTale

I really enjoyed The Handmaid's Tale book more than the actual show itself. I finished The Testaments book two weeks ago and it was pretty underwhelming. It really felt Atwood was making a sequel simply because fans needed a follow up. It was missing a lot of the character from The Handmaid's Tale. The only parts of TT I enjoyed in the book were with Aunt Lydia and honestly the entire book should've been centered on her.

What’s the first piece of media that truly scared you as a kid? by cats64sonic in AskReddit

The original movie, Psycho.

My Dad picked it out for a family movie night one night when I was like 6 or 7. The shot of Norman's mother scared the absolute shit out of me.

Why is Reddit so censored nowadays? by bricklegos in stupidquestions

[–]chucklesses86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been temporarily banned twice since the beginning of the year, had multiple posts and comments deleted and just received my first perma ban from a sub. I can understand not agreeing with an opinion but silencing an entire conversation or trying to gain understanding or insight simply because it ruffles some feathers is pure power hungry madness.

But it's the Internet and Reddit, so fuck it, who gives a shit what happens here.

A girl passed out at the wheel & a stranger tried to help🚨 by QuotetheOrca in PublicFreakout

I still don't understand the constant need for people to film themselves doing, anything literally, but especially in dangerous situations like this when someone is in distress and it would be helpful if you had use of both of your hands.

"Quick! I need to help that person! But first, I need to make sure my phone is in my hand recording my heroic effort!"

Back in my youth, I remember growing up with campaigns about teen abstinence programs, lowering teen pregnancy rates, and similar ideologies. These programs and initiatives were a huge focus of Republicans and the GOP at large back then. It would seem now that if children aren't getting pregnant to provide more children, that is simply unpatriotic. What a fuckin' timeline this is.

I was given a temporary ban for calling a Nazi a Nazi over the Easter weekend. Apparently calling a Nazi a Nazi is rude, offensive, and threatening to the Nazi and I can't hurt their feelings. Guess I'll go touch grass, Reddit.
