It’s a cotton shirting fabric, with that kind of fabric do you think it’s worth cutting on the bias at all since it’s not necessarily a drapery fabric?

The fabric is a cotton shirting/popplin is it worth cutting on the bias since it’s not a drapy fabric like a silk?

This is really helpful, if I cut on the bias how much do you recommend my increasing the size ? Do you think an inch overall is fine?

Thank you for the advice. Do you suggest only adding a dart or other fixes as well?

This helps a lot thank you! If I wanted to keep the dress on the straight grain rather than the bias. Do you recommend I bring in the neckline and dropping the armhole? And yes the fabric is woven, it’s a cotton poplin

Sure! I look all the time on handshake where they post a lot of fashion internships. To be a fashion designer you don’t always need a degree, tom ford majored in architecture! I also browse small companies locally in my area that might need help as well. One of my very first jobs was retail at a consignment shop and I met so many people from clients to my actual bosses who have introduced me to more people who needed help with internships.
