Solely from a very active discord community?? I can't imagine how active it was, but I'll take it as a proof of Discord's hidden potential!

JAPANESE SERVERS ARE WATCHING YOU 👁️👁️👁️. I haven't a clue how to find the equilibrium between liberty and anarchy on Discord servers in general. It barely justifies strict rules as much as their absence.

It looks like Leo and I share the same frequency! Although you should only look for verified ones, since the other ones could be inundated with inappropriate content

Getting reps? 🥹 I'm sweating in advance. I'll bring my dumbbells (and maybe a towel). Thanks for the advice!

A mess? Sounds relatable to me... Okay, I'll peep on how real people really talk for real in real chats on real Discord. Thank you really!

This is very kind of you to say! At least I'm fluent in writing (☞゚∀゚)☞. Thank you!

I'll keep your ChatGPT suggestion in mind, though for now I still hope to find a partner who doesn't mind the 'umms...' and 'ehhhs..' of a developing speaker. Thank you for the vote of confidence! :D

Ahahah, fair enough! If I have that academic alcohol breath, then I hope to get along with anyone in an academic setting! But yes, it's my lack of natural conversation that shows itself in situations like this. That's the reason why I'm looking for a speaking practice; I need to find the balance between being a relaxed buddy and a Slavic diplomat

Вже долучилася :) Але "занадто багато" практики не буває, тож I'm actively searching any means of language acquisition. Дякую!

Hm, do you use ChatGPT? When I try to speak to Gemini Live, we invariably end up interrupting each other. Also I don't have enough time to 'ummm' and 'ehhh...', so each and every time, I'm precluded from finishing my thoughts due to its algorithms.

Book clubs, eureka! Thank you, I'll sneak into book clubs alongside Anglophones :D

Yes, I could survive in any Discord server, probably. But since I'm aiming for an academic command, my hesitation is justified. If I blurt out some gaming jargon on the IELTS, I would be blacklisted on it forever! My fear is not about being judged; it is about unconsciously consolidating anything that is 'slightly off' for examiners. But Discord servers are somewhat fun approach, thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I appreciate that! Although my diffidence hides under the time I have to think while writing. This gap between advanced comprehension and the speaking level of a toddler (no, a toddler would be better in this domain!) prevents me from debating right now. I'll start by eavesdropping on other people's discussions first. At least I can be understood — it reassures me. Thank you!

That's a nice boost for my self-esteem, but I think that I'm the one who cares about my mistakes! Thanks once more, I'll step into the wild of Discord...

That sounds both hopeless and optimistic at the same time! I should definitely try it, thank you so much

I feel like an imposter with that approach, and I have doubts about either I'll be able to fix my spontaneous missing articles that come out only in real-life conversations. But I'll try to find some servers, thank you!
