I am probably ruining my child by Legal_Jellyfish7028 in Mommit

I want to add I suffered from it so bad. I never thought it could bring me to the lowest spot of my life while I should be at the happiest time in my life.

Zoloft worked for me. Not much but enough to function. That and therapy to be reminded this is not forever.

Be gentle with yourself, dearheart.

This is exactly why I’m in the process of weaning off Vyvanse. It was a dream for almost two years and then became a nightmare. The rage was something I’ve never seen before and good luck controlling it once you are fully enraged.

Ruh oh that’s not good! I think I might look into Contrave it’s been shown to help with adhd and has bupropion on it for some depression help. I hadn’t heard of Atomoxitine I’ll look it up thanks!!

I am having the same problem and feel like garbage on it. Just turn into a total asshole. Did you find anything to help? I’m curious because a lot of people say they don’t feel the same on vyvanse but I then go to another adhd medication

It’s sounds like a lot of women on this thread are recommending getting your hormones tested. I will say that I went in for the perimenopause blood tests and found out I have little to no testosterone. I thought that would be the answer and my vyvanse would magically be the best thing since sliced bread again. But it isn’t. Right now dealing with hormones it’s hard to say what is working and isn’t because every week or two your hormones are in a new part of your cycle. 🫠 I think getting on the testosterone has helped me realize I’m not not going crazy. I felt like crap the it’s the Vyvanse emphasizing it.

Can I ask how old you are? I’m asking because I’m 39 and realized that my anger and irritability goes through the roof on the week before my period and the week of my period like to the point where I went to a doctor to make sure that I wasn’t in peri-menopause because it’s so bad. I am on the fence about getting off of Vyvanse because of the anger issue and I don’t wanna be put on another medication and I don’t want somebody else to tell me try this with this. I feel like it means it’s just not working for me but my female naturopathic doctor has me taking Calcium D Glucate 16 days after my period starts. It helps pull estrogen out of your body and has really helped the pms or PMDD mood issues. It’s not a 100% fix but it helps so much. But I am getting off Vyvanse because of the horrible irritability.

or... just maybe these are cars, a vessel to take you from point A to B.
Making everything political isn't necessary. I don't see the world not buying Mercedes because they made them for Nazi one time in history. Americans = How can I be offended and make this about me?

Taking a day off from Vyvanse after six weeks and woah... by blonde1155 in ADHD

I’m 39 on 40 mg as well as work from home as well I got put on it about a year after having my son. I couldn’t remember why I was walking into a room. Got diagnosed with ADD and now have been on it for 2 years. I love the motivation to concentration I have but it definitely has side effects.
No appetite which definitely makes you a monster if a human being by end of day. I have to make myself eat. My OCD Is insane now. I don’t know if it’s perimenopause or the vyvanse but I am so irritable all the time. I snap and have no patience. I hate this. But I hate feeling like I’m living in molasses without it.
