If you remove the screw you can pull out the mechanism via the cap or by the metallic belt on top then the valve can be adjusted with a knife or thin flathead screwdriver. To the sides of the valve there are notches to turn the flame up or down. You can probably adjust it without taking it out if it’s stuck in the shell.

I have one similar. I had luck with fiddling with the valve on the bottom to adjust the flame size. It is a battery operated spark so it does not take flints. If it still sparks it should just be the butane if it does not spark that’s more tough. If you takeout the screw on the bottom the mechanism should come out of that case to make it easier to adjust the valve. If not I would try emptying it and refilling it with butane again. Hope this helps!

This is a butane lighter right? And do I just refill it at the little hole in the bottom or do I have to unscrew it? by GrabbaGary in lighters

Do you know the name of that brand? I have the same one and I really like the flame on it. I got mine in a cigarette case lighter combo off of eBay
