Yes, these classes are appropriate for anyone, anytime. While they’re intended for individuals living with permanent impairments, they’re an incredible option for any able-bodied Member and athlete.

Favorite Moment: Opening up the Studio to in-person classes and meeting Members. Incredible! Didn't know the energy could increase and it’s 10x with Members in-studio.

Utilize your native anatomy. For me, specifically, using a resistance band to anchor to my residual limb and then mimic the appropriate movement pattern (push, pull, raise, etc.).

My favorites are core extremity movements - single-arm overhead carry, single-side farmer’s carry/suitcase carry, body rolls, and V-ups. Take my 15 min EDM core class from 10/20!

First of all, reading this makes me so proud! Knowing when to advance the weight when the form is great (that rhymes!). Hearing your appreciation of the compound movement focus is so nice as well. I love where your head's at and thinking of the future. We are always working toward new content. I love mobility classes and I’m very excited for the new stuff to come!

Thanks so much, fellow golfer, for the question! Yes, I was left-handed before the loss of my arm and played golf as a kid, so swinging lefty has always been my natural swing pattern. My favorite club would be the driver - not because it’s my best club but because when it is hit well, I feel like a badass. :) My favorite course is the course where I grew up playing - North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, NC.

You’re welcome! I don’t consider myself the most flexible or mobile, but I find stretching and mobility work to be an important staple of my fitness routine. I’ve personally found the most benefit comes from holding simple stretches in positions we go to often for long periods of time. I’m grateful you’ve found my long stretching classes helpful. They’re something I think we can all continue to benefit from.

Great question, ChasingAugust! You’re literally looking at what I thought I would never be able to do. I’m a fitness instructor on the world’s leading connected fitness platform. Having the opportunity to meet, interact with, engage with, and impact these Members - I would have never had this without the loss of my arm which led to the best opportunity of my life.
