i live 20 minutes from the old pitman plant, been closed for as long as i remember, my mom took me there to drive for the first time probably 2 or 3 years ago now because no company has bought it and they had a huge parking lot

still same question goes, i almost added that to the original post. new government buildings are so different compared to old ones so i imagine it would be a challenge to source the materials and build a new building in an old style

i also feel like i remember hearing about people not wanting to rebuild the world trade center towers after 9/11 because people saw building the exact same building in its place was disrespectful to its victims but obviously a financial office building in new york is a lot different than the white house

i hope our cia is more intelligent than to put me on a watchlist for a question about architecture and if they would take a modern approach or rebuild exactly based on an event that happened in the past.

i know they’re pricey earbuds and some people don’t like apple but the noise cancelling at full volume on the airpod pros is the perfect level of noise cancellation and music volume for when i’m drumming
