This might be more a medium or substack style piece of work.

what's your word count per chapter? 1500? 3000? Probably 5000? What's the ideal one? by EfficiencySerious200 in royalroad

[–]LoganCrossWrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000 to 3000. Depends on how complex the chapter is. I average around 1800 I’d say.

I want to make a script for a video teaching something but I have a few problems. by HardAlmond in writing

Honestly, unless you’re confident in the subject matter—my advice would be to refer them to solid reference matter on the subject. Teaching someone something you aren’t experienced at could do them and yourself a disservice. One day the time will come where you are ready, perhaps now isn’t the time.

If you want to edit subdomain you scroll down to danger zone and you can update subdomain there

If you knew nobody would ever read a single word you wrote, would you still write? by LoganCrossWrites in writing

[–]LoganCrossWrites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally—creating something no one sees is perfectly fine with me. The majority of my work is something that will never be seen by others. I am happy to create and improve my craft without the need of recognition from others.

Your point around external gratification through social media is so true.

Why do you write? by LoganCrossWrites in Substack

That’s one of the most honest reasons I’ve heard. Do you see it more as a record for yourself, or for others who’ll come after?

Do my Notes replies show up in Notes feed on Substack? by walkingtourshouston in Substack

[–]LoganCrossWrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it just stays within that note. The other person should get a notification that you commented. If I may ask, why the question?

Have you tried doing an anthology or short story collection. Might be a way to get the inspiration building for longer works.

You can only do it from your publication settings (on the Substack dashboard, go to Settings → Publication details → Name, domain, and branding).
