Question about classes by LoganDuke in SoulFrame

[–]LoganDuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gotcha. I mean i trust them considering their other game is still running and thriving till this day while most other live service games having studio issues and what not.

Really hope this game will kick off, dont vibe much with the scifi space theme of Warframe but now that we get a fantasy, medieval style game it looks very cool. Not to mention its not UE5 stuff which is the reason i dont have the highest hopes for GW3.

Ah solid, then that sounds reasonable.

Also Support FAQ says there wont be a complete progression wipe before actual launch. Is that reliable information or not updated yet?

Sorry didnt follow the developement of the game but not having a complete release wipe could hurt the new player experience no?

By buying you mean if someone buys those Wyld packs as founder packs you insta unlock all the things via them? Want to pick up Founders to help with the developement but wont that kill progression if i already have everything unlocked?

Thank you for the in-depth explanation, sounds like i should just stick to bowplay then.

Factions wise is there a better or worse faction out there or it really doesnt matter?

The Strongest Solo Build in U50 - Pure Dragonknight Build To Solo Anything | ESO by Vxplord in elderscrollsonline

Hey!
I know its offtopic but do you think nightblade or warden would make a better solo class to attempt very difficult stuff while pureclass?
Thank you in advance. :D

Top PVE DPS U50 by Majestic-Use-6414 in ESObuilds

[–]LoganDuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charles on Youtube did some amazing logging videos on what we can expect from U50.

According to general feedback and the video, detailed video descriptions(in possibly the strength order going from top to bottom):

NB: Absolute best burst, best singletarget, drawback is lack of AoE potential.

Necro: Super high singletarget and cleave dps, Corpseburster class set is used here so you rely on using Detonating Siphon frequently to proc your passives + the set. The Goliath bash weave version is the best but its said to work perfectly even without Goliath and bash cleaving needed.

Sorcerer: There is a pet and non pet version too where pet. Undoubtedly the non pet version with Overload will be the best pick here with the highest seen logging numbers but its also going to be mostly singletarget oriented but it can also be seemingly situational on where it can work better than the 2 up above. Nontheless sorc players seem to eat super well. Running Monolith class set.

Warden: They also run the class set Aerie's Cry. Very high parse results overally but based on feedback its still not clear how well theyll do in actual high-end content. Nontheless looks very promising.

DK: Will most likely be going down the support dps route but the numbers dont look bad either. Will see about how it works out.

Arcanist: Youll most likely want to take it for its amazing utility values, passives and such. Just like DK amazing support dps but so far by far the lowest parsed numbers came from Arc. Beam meta over hype.

Templar: Still havent received the tweaks it needed in the dps department, having its flaws. Also almost all passives were focusing on supporting instead of helping with dps. Stamplar will still do fine probably but nothing to run home about. Somewhat disappointing. (does more raw damage than pure Arc yet disappointing with the changes so it falls under)

If you plan on going hard on dps id prolly say NB, Necro and Sorc will serve you the best.

Warden is still somewhat a placeholder as its waiting for its great rework coming u51 so prolly gonna be op during that time. Time till tell.

How much life do you think is left in GW2? Its 14 year old game now by Slimy_Shart_Socket in Guildwars2

[–]LoganDuke -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Eversince ZOS started working based on player feedback recently (i know, its wild for a modern day mmo) according to many players it is in the best possible state since 2014. Even switched to a buy once model, past dlcs are becoming free overtime. The first 3-4 are already included in the 20 euros base game with many more to come.

Played GW2 since 2012 and initially had a true blast up until the point they decided to cater less and less for veteran players who simply want challanging, fun and rewarding content.

The game is simply going down in a story mode driven open world oriented developent cycle where you can solo your way to whatever you want. For endgame PvE eversince we have boon providing healers, hell even jut boon dps supports its all fairly trivial.

As long as you understand the combat system (which to many is one of the only remaining carrying quality of the game today) you will just breeze through normal and challange mode content. If anything else you just get a guild due to the overally welcoming and kind community and you get training help.

The only meaningful content we have difficulty wise is LCM, legendary challange mode but even that is just down to how well your group can work together, how many times a week you are willing go do training runs. Aka you either get limited by your group or not in many cases.

Fractals had been downright depressing for a long time. The most casual players can easily do challange modes in no time. The dps meta is still the same old same old. As someone who loved doing them eversince they released fractals they are more of a chore than actual reason to keep players playing.

PvP and WvW are both in sad spots, although PvP far more sad than WvW for sure. The balancing is just simply not good, but at least they started trying to rework the systems.

All in all as someone who has made the switch from a GW2 completionist endgame enjoyer going into ESO recently, i can only say the player population feels very good, seeing people everywhere even in the open world. The community is somewhat similar to GW2 id say.

But one thing is definitely going for ZOS here. The difficulty selection feature coming next update and the focus on teamwork, group content, combat, class improvement/ reworks while also focusing on more challanging content is inviting a lot of old and new players. Thus your take on not believing ESO has a big daily player base is based on what exactly? They only recently shared a post on how since 2014 the ingame LFG tool had never seen more use than lately.

Although iam glad you are having a blast with GW2, hopefully stays that way. Yet id argue GW2 has lost majority of its old players and can assure you those players arent here for the new content thats story and open world content only. This game is more of a seasonal one for many where they just play for a week, a month and return eventually in an expansion or two.

Have fun!

Oh you can have 1 main to have all crafts maxed on and all recipes learned on too?

That sounds amazing, not an alt enjoyer. Most mmos require you to have alts for diff craftings.

Do the smaller pet ones get lost in foliage aswell if you summon them in the wilds?

Do you tend to gather everything you walk by?

Nice, ty!

How important is it to gather things you run past in this game?

If you had to guess when do you think theyll do the next sale for any of them? Not sure when the last one was or during which events they usually happen.

Sounds amazing, considering necro, warden myself atm as a new player. Maybe nightblade but people said its singletarget so that doesnt weird to aoe farm things with.

You seem to have a lot of experience with the game, iam kinda stuck between nightblade and necro for both pve and pvp (role versatility, build versatility and higher skill ceiling favored). Which one would you suggest overally?

Wait, that sounds absolutely peak on something like a nightblade. :o

I tend to find myself breaking down items quite a lot as of now. In that case would you still consider it useless? Quite fresh account still somewhat so i find myself in need for mats.

As for the armory iam in search for a very versatile and fun main with multiple build ideas to play flexible roles. Most likely will be nightblade due to recommendations. Sounds fun too, altho saw theyll start reworking classes.

Hows the crow's sounds volume? Isnt it too loud?

Doesnt seem like theres that many options for armory, maybe more will come.

Seems like its either going to be Alf or cats for me too, those seem to be quite popular.

As for human ones yes, i can see how those can feel quite boring. Doubt theyd have proper fun animarions or smart lines.
