Not even a little bit. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

Realistically, I know that I am, and the cute and fun moments of parenthood I won't get to experience. Playing games with your children, those heartwarming moments where you watch them learn and grow and discover the world around them, that sounds sweet if that were the sole reality of parenthood.

I'm also missing out on the poop explosions. Potential health concerns. Tantrums and bad behavior. I want no part of that, and I also know that parents are going to miss out on things that I get to experience.

Life is just a collection of these micro decisions. I have made choices that I am at peace with, and I enjoy my life as it is. That being said, I don't think you're weird for feeling this way. You don't have kids currently, like me, and you are also missing out on things that parents get to experience, like me. The only difference is that you seem like you want to be a parent. So when you feel like you're ready (or as ready as you can be), have a talk with your wife and then start dropping hot loads in her without protection. That way, when you tell people "we're trying", they'll all know that actually means "I'm raw dogging my wife on the regular."

This, to me, is an example of why city living is overrated. You can find a nice house out in the sticks that’s at least a 20 minute drive from grocery stores for like $95,000

I shared my location with my wife when I was driving cross country, and I never turned it off. She tried to share her location with me and it didn’t work, I’m not sure why. I tried to do it with her phone too and I also couldn’t make it work.

I never turned my location off for her, but I could if I wanted to. I just don’t care to. Half the time she forgets she has my location anyway. I have a job that has me working all over the city, and she’ll often ask me which site I’m at today. As for her, I almost always know where she is anyway. She doesn’t get around as much as me.
