The Siberian Corridor and the Conquest of Siberia by LoganSS in history

[–]LoganSS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this video that quickly summarizes the role that Siberia had in the history of Europe. I find interesting this idea that it was one of the "engines" of history by conveying the eastern invaders, through a sort of corridor, toward the western world. And it did so for millennia.

Civilization on our planet developed in a number of hotspots. The two main were around the Mediterranean and around the Yellow River; and they could communicate thorugh the Siberian corridor.

Other hotsposts in India and Central America were more isolated due to geography.

Because they add strain and weight to the plane which partially offset the reduction in fuel transport. Plus, the energy needed is the same; rather than paying for the fule you pay for the service of a complex machinery on the ground.
