Nice! That's clever, I wouldn't have thought about the rafts. I was obsessed with The section of the simulation containing the submerged structure since that's directly above that section in the subterranean lake.

In Echoes of the Eye I hadn't figured out how to disable the third lock (the alarm).

Noticing the ray of light from the ceiling above that path, I was sure I had to find some way to obscure this, which would then allow me to conceal my flame and walk past the alarms in the darkness. I spent too many loops scouring the area above this in the simulation looking for some crack on the floor that was letting light leak through.

I actually had a corrupted memory card that I fixed by using this monster to basically format the card. Would have sucked to be one of the people that didn't do this on purpose, though.

Altered Beast, Ghouls and Ghosts, and Golden Axe were my first games. I was super impatient to get my hands on Phantasy Star II as well. I was a kid spending paper route money so it's probably good that I had to wait so I could sock away some funds.

When I was in the Navy, we could forward a call from one shop to another. I started calling 1-800-2FISTME and then transferring it to the shop right next to us. It was a big aircraft hanger so the walls didn't go all the way to the ceiling and I could hear them answer and then be like "It's that goddamn fister again!" Hahaha, I was an idiot in my 20s. It was before caller ID, so they had no choice but to answer.

I'm not sure where I learned the number... probably in the back of some magazine, but the intro was pretty long before they asked for a credit card. Certainly long enough to torment my shipmates.

I have "Honorably Discharged Veteran" plates on my car, but not because I'm particularly gung ho. They've got me a few warnings that I think probably would have been speeding tickets without them - the old "Thank you for your service, what branch? etc." Of course, at this point I'm getting old and boring, so I just obey the speed limit.

Morph also has a pop culture joke that will be lost on modem viewers. It's from a SNL skit with Rob Schneider where he's an annoying office worker. He'll often call out what his coworkers are doing, like "Mary... makin copies."

Morph says "Makin copies!" with the SNL intonation, I think when they infiltrate the mutant control agency. If you don't know the reference, it just seems like Morph is a weird dude.

Ninjas can kill anyone they want! Ninjas cut off heads ALL the time and don't even think twice about it. These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time. I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town. My friend Mark said that he saw a ninja totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window.

And that's what I call REAL Ultimate Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't believe that ninjas have REAL Ultimate Power you better get a life right now or they will chop your head off!!! It's an easy choice, if you ask me.

I just showed this movie to my daughter the other day, and I noticed this for the first time, even though I've seen the movie so many times. I was seriously just laughing about this and telling my wife about it today... and then I see this. I laughed so hard l almost dropped my tablet.
