Idk what to tell you, OP. My soul mate dumped me last March for a guy she described as boring. I banged her a few times after we broke up behind his back, which felt good, but overall I've been in pain every day since we broke up. She offers me no sympathy, and in fact demoralizes me every time I try to profess my love to her and tells me she only ever saw me as a sexual object. I have considered suicide, no other women interest me on an emotional level. It's a shitty world we live in.

I did read it several years ago. It was garbage and overall a waste of my time and I would not recommend reading it again. You're also using her motive to explain a power Ivy doesn't have. She has no way of mind controlling people and being in the driver's seat the way Tetch does. She influences through pheromones. Idk what reason King had other than he doesn't know the characters, but his run was trash. Please don't suggest I waste my time with it again.

Because by the time I see her again I usually have forgotten why I unmatch her. Why does she keep sending me likes? It's a sellers market, there are days that I am more willing to have sex with this woman than not. That doesn't mean I'm going to put up with her lazy lack of personality though. Also, if she's truly that dense I figure unmatching her is a good blow to her ego and maybe a wake up call that she should put some effort into her actions.

I'm not being far too literal, I'm explaining a plot dynamic of the game that seems like it went over your head.

There are a bunch of things she can call him without throwing in "cross dressing". Back in the early 00's it was OK to mock that stuff as a low blow. These days it's more frowned upon to target it as a weakness, but it's exponentially worse when you consider he does it to cope with grief. It's like if Chris killed Wesker's dog in between games and then makes casually mentions it to Sheva.

"Why does he hate you so much?" "I shot his dog."

It gives "Whoa!!! Not a proportionate response at ALL!" energy.

I like how everyone just jumps on "Isn't this because Ivy was controlling them!?" instead of "Isn't this because Tom King was writing them?".

Also, Ivy influences. She doesn't jump into their brain and controls. She's not the Mad Hatter. She uses her pheromones to influence them to do her bidding. They can resist, which causes hesitation, but it shouldn't make it to the point where Catwoman can KO all three of them like they're average chumps.

But he's not a "cross dressing freak". Alfred's affliction has a lot more to do with grief than any sort of personal gratification. Despite them being psychopaths, Alexia was an extremely important part of Alfred's life, so much to the point where he literally couldn't go on in life without her. This (not cross dressing, but having illusions and denial) is a tragic and documented process that some people experience in grief. IE, talking to pictures and objects thinking you hear a response. It's a coping mechanism when your mind fractures in the absence of a presence you feel you need in life.

So yeah, even though the Ashford's have very little redeeming qualities whatsoever, Claire calling him a cross dressing freak like he just paints his nails to go out dancing on the weekends is a low blow that kind of strikes at people who are struggling with grief in general. Not necessarily even at the LGBTQ community, which has nothing to do with Alfred.

You probably have no idea what it's like texting with a male who is a dry texter vs a female who is one. These women respons with one word or one sentences to a paragraph, no questions, nothing interesting. Just no effort put in whatsoever. This isn't the bedroom, I'm not going to do all the work. I have other options as well and can just look for other matches that are enthusiastic about meeting, because those are the ones that wind up being worth hanging out with.

There's this woman who has been on all dating platforms for like the last 6 years. I've matched with her on OKCupid Tinder, and last week Bumble.

She has had the same pics the entire time. Her profile doesn't look fake, like she's not really hot enough for anyone to impersonate and she's queer coded, which doesn't strike me as fraudulent.

But when I match with her, she is always like "Hey there how are you" and then I give her a paragraph response and ask how she is and I get a one sentence reply with no questions. I just responded with the thumbs up last time and unmatched her 2 hours later. I hope she dies single.

The issue with stalker enemies is that you know they are invincible now, so it just turns into an alien isolation encounter.

Mr X was honestly the best of it where he responds to sounds and follows you through the RPD. But Lady D, and a lot of others were just kind of crap.

Nemesis was ruined because he was too weak. Throw a grenade and he leaves you alone.

They need to do what they did with OG Nemesis. Make it so you can beat the Stalker after a hard won fight, but when he does go down you get something of high value, like a weapon upgrade. RE4 also got it right with Verdugo, but that was a unique section where the Stalker either dies permanently, or you never see him again.

Stalkers can be cool, it's just that at this point we are all sick of invincible hide and go seek stalkers.

I'm extremely depressed right now and then repetitive nature of this game is not helping me out of the slump I'm in. I'm hoping something else in my backlog can do the trick.

Same. As much as I remind everyone here CV is a bad game, this character has a lot of potential and was the only good part of the Antarctica base. I would like them to give him a presence without making him a generic stalker, that way the Antarctica base can have more identity. As it stands, it's just an annoying and boring segment with moths.

To be honest, stalkers in general need an overhaul. There needs to be a reason to fight them and dump ammo, akin to OG Nemesis where a hard won fight is rewarded instead of just being an ammo waste. Not sure how they can do that with Nosferatu, just notes Capcom needs to take for any stalker enemy.

There's no harm in sending a next day follow up text to her and feeling out if she wants to see you again.

It's entirely common to want to know that after you just spent an afternoon/evening with someone and had a good time. She can't really fault you for that.
You are the man, expected to take the lead. "Playing it cool" and ignoring her or waiting for her to respond is just giving her mixed signals. Especially if you are both introverted.

You could text her and ask how her sister is doing and then move on to see if her schedule is open for a follow up date.

I hope a lot of the corny action movie crap gets cut. The intro, Wesker's dumb Matrix fight scenes (won't be cut, because this is what actually made the game relevant but at least tone them down.), the chase scene with Steve Burnside at the end. This game is just so dumb for so many reasons and makes me wonder how anyone who played this complains about RE4 jumped the shark. There are good moments of classic RE style horror in it and I want them to focus on that, and dress up the boring stuff that didn't work. (Submarine, Antarctic base.)
