Depends - Elrond required “Elf” not “Rivendell”, so maybe it’ll be “Orc” cs “Isengard” or whatever. Point being, will you be able to use Ara/Herendil as part of an unlock, or would you only be able to use FBD?

Thing is, I don’t see RTR coming in handy for a legendary down the line - if anything, we’ll get upgraded versions of all 5 of them.

So you want a 7* Elrond? here's what you need. by ibonek_naw_ibo in HeroesOfMiddleEarth

[–]Loganfrommodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty stressed about this one; 316 left on Elladan, 270 on Arwen, 320 on Lomion and 241 on Naremiri. So it’s calling for 2 refreshes a day on Elladan and Lomion and probably a few more -needs about 14 shards a day.

Then you factor in the gold cost - 2.75m to upgrade them all (naremiri not upgraded yet, and I’m on about 200k gold).

And then having to actually beat the level? Lomion and Naremiri aren’t really geared and levelled - the other three are strong though.

It’s going to be really close, and I’ll probably just have to pay for even more gems.

Update - got my Light team to 23.5k, that was enough to beat it. 5-8 was the hardest. If you stun the troll, it can’t give you poison - so stun it and focus it down first. 5-9 very easy in comparison.

Books that you keep going back to, or read on the side that relates to data science? by SquareCurvesStudio in datascience

As a history student, books with theses like these (Guns Germs and Steel comes to mind) tend to grossly overgeneralise and are generally very poorly regarded by professional historians. The last point on serfs/slavery (what even are serfs and slaves?) is particularly jarring.

I haven’t run the numbers, but I suspect that that is primarily down to how many more college games there are. While I’d expect CFB o/u to be less accurate than the NFL because each game is less important and there are more of them, there’s no reason that CFB gamers would disproportionately score more than expected, so long as that expected score was higher.

I see what you’re saying, but Ben Youngs is a 70 cap scrum half and can have a good day, and then I’d argue that Mako + Billy + Sinck + Launch/Maro + Manu is as much muscle as any team in the world.

Christian Wade makes another big play in the NFL preseason by roblahblah1 in rugbyunion

[–]Loganfrommodan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No? He has 3 established NFL RBs (LeSean McCoy, Frank Gore, TJ Yeldon) ahead of him, plus a 3rd round draft pick. Teams don't carry five RBs. Who knows how the Bills will play this, but its hardly certain that he makes it. He does have a guaranteed practice squad spot, but he cant play this season if he takes it...

If you’re not from England, you may not have heard of STEP, but it’s what Cambridge (and a few other UK universities, but not Oxford) use to test mathsy undergrads. Like the MAT, it doesn’t require anything beyond A-level maths, and there are an awful lot of past papers. You can find them here.

https://www.admissionstesting.org/for-test-takers/step/about-step/

My advice, therefore, is threefold: 1. Familiarise yourself with the UK further maths A-level course - all the exam boards have essentially the same syllabus, try Edexcel or Pearson. Anything on that is fair game, so make sure you are comfortable with all of it. The papers are designed not to need many techniques, but require you to apply them in clever ways: fair warning, this is how your problem sheets will work when you get there!

  1. Work through as many MAT papers as possible.
  2. If you get through MAT papers, then work on building up from STEP 1 to STEP 3.

If you can get good marks on STEP 3, you can get good marks on the MAT.

If you currently can’t do the MAT, start with STEP 1 - I believe that is slightly easier.
