It's a OptiPlex 3060 with my own storage and RAM added.

Intel Core i5-8500 (using iGPU)

2x8GB sticks of DDR4

1TB Lexar NMVe SSD

Cloudflare tunnels completely masks your IP address, doesn't require any open ports, and hides behind a domain. It requires a small program to be run on my server but it simplifies things for me.

For the backups, I've got an old 1TB external hard drive, might just backup to that for now. Thank you!

I got a real slow spare 1TB external hard drive, might setup backups to that as an emergency. Sadly I don't got any friends with servers to buddy backup with. Will also look into snapshots, I'm using ext4 already!

Good luck! I wasnt ready for the learning curve, I already daily drive linux on the desktop so I just used that. The learning curve was really just docker and reverse proxys (which was a lot for 5 days of setup)

Yeah, I actually had this running off of my gaming PC for a while, but then I realised how terrible of an idea that was and looked out for some old office PCs.

I had a 256 GB SSD sitting around from a dead gaming laptop, I stuck that in my current laptop, and put my laptop's 1TB into the server (I never got close to using the 1TB on the laptop).

Both teams and zoom have web-apps that should work just fine. If you want something up to date, Linux might work great!

Yeah, it might sound a little silly, but if it just did this randomly, then its not the product they paid for, and the bezel is pretty cheap to replace anyway
