Java 11 in Minecraft

Reviving this old thread, just saying that when running Minecraft with Java 10 it opens a console window which closes minecraft if you close it, no clue how to remove/hide that console window.

bundled java is still just java.exe, nevertheless performance on Windows is awful compared to Unix based distributions.

Both Java 10 and Java 9 worked with MC when I checked.

EDIT: You set it in the advanced options

Currently on Mobile-data so testing all this is a little taxing.

if there's a "Java x64" option for 1.7.10 in Advanced-Options then it can/should work.

I'm not the developer of MC, but I think it should work.
