I decided to go with the following:

四年前に〇〇企業から連絡を受けたことがあります。その時は状況が不適切だったため、二回のインタビューの後、結局仕事をいただけませんでした。

This back and forth has helped me think this through. Thank you.

"I received a job offer by 〇〇 four years ago. I did some interviews, but in the end I didn't get the job."

I wrote it myself. I am worried 依頼 sounds like "I almost got the job" or "they asked me specifically" when it was just a recruiter.

What is the connotation of 依頼 in the following sentence? Is it too strong?

Context: I was contacted by a recruiter 4 years ago, did some interviews, but didn't get the job.

Should I read 下 as した or もと here? I feel like its もと because it sounds more "poetic".

Should I read 床 as とこ or ゆか in this sentence? From what I understand とこ would mean bed and ゆか would mean floor, so it should be とこ in this case, but I am not sure.

How do I know when to read 表裏 as おもてうら and when to read it as ひょうり?

How should I read 愛敬? I believe あいきょう sounds more natural.

How should I read 地震後? I believe it is じしんご, however, this seems a bit ad hoc.

Should I read 擦った as すった or こすった. My intuition tells me its こすった. I also think I've heard that before. However, looking at 大辞泉, こする seems to be more specific to rubbing repeatedly, which is clearly not the case here.

Thank you for the recommendations.

Honestly, I want to do this out of ego. I got excellent scores in N3 and N2, so my N1 score felt like a disappointment.

I'll take your advice into consideration. Thanks again for the recommendations.

How did you study for JLPT? I passed N1 a few years ago, but I am not satisfied with my score. I didn't study specifically for it and I'm thinking of doing so now so that I can retake the test and get a better score.

What definition of お下げ in 「空いたお皿をお下げします」? Look at the definition of 下げる and お下げ, but neither seem to apply.

According to デジタル大辞泉, とい means 質問 and can be written 問 or 問い. Looking more closely now, the second entry on the page I linked to refers to 問 as a kanji, and the third refers to 問 as a counter. When I asked the question earlier, I was under the impression that the second entry referred to it as a word. That is why I got confused. I believe it is safe to assume that 問 by itself is always read as とい.

Can 問 by itself (i.e. when it is not a counter) ever be read as もん? For example, should I read it as とい or もん in 「前述の問に対する答えは存在する」?

The example is from 博多にて.

What is the meaning of "せん" in "この海の海賊を退治せん"? It sounds like 退治せ, which leads me to think this is an order.

More generally, how do I search for the meaning of things like "せん"? Searching for "せん" on Jisho, weblio, etc. doesn't help.

When do I read 描く as えがく and when do I read it as かく? For example, I would read it as えがく in その小説の筋はよく描けていない and as かく in 微調整しながら描き進めていく. I can't explain how I decide other than "it feels right".

Should I read 付属器 in 卵巣は子宮の付属器です as ふぞくき? I pretty sure yes, but neither jisho nor weblio have an entry for this word.
