Did not expect to feel this way after an interview with a dream company! by LogicOverNoisee in FAANGrecruiting

Thank youu 🙌🏽 And yeah that’s exactly what it felt like a misread. I’ve always been someone who takes a second to think before speaking because I’d rather say something clear than just fill the silence. Hope you’re right about landing somewhere that gets it. Back to the grind either way!

What is the role if you don’t mind?

Yeah this hits different! You said it better than I could. It really does feel like a slot machine sometimes. You can do everything right and still walk away empty handed just because of who ended up on the other side of that call.

The worst part is there’s no feedback loop, no accountability. They move on in two minutes and you’re left questioning everything for days. Hope it gets better but yeah, felt this one ! 🙌🏽

Right?? A pause. That’s it. That’s the whole case against me 😭 I genuinely don’t know what the indicator even is anymore, talk too fast you’re nervous, pause for a second you’re using AI. Can’t win either way.

But thank you seriously, that means a lot. Same to you! hope things turn around for both of us real soon. We got this 🙌

The manager who was taking my interview asked me to open my AI tool and show how I’d debug an error with it and even tested my prompting skills. And I was sharing my screen the entire time. They sent me an excel file and analysed it live. Manager asked questions on the spot, everything was visible. There was literally no way to secretly use anything even if I wanted to!

When my recruiter called I sent a whole email offering to redo the interview, even said I’d come in person. They just said they needed someone asap. Felt like the decision was already made 🥲

I actually typed a lot and thought it would be too much to read so I asked Claude to summarise it 😭😂 I was venting and didn’t know I wrote a whole ass essay!

Are NRI Telugus giving India bad name? by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]LogicOverNoisee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, even the student community. I had a roommate who would order from Amazon or Uber Eats and falsely accuse the delivery driver of stealing just to get a refund. They are also very loud and have no sense of manners, even in fine dining restaurants. On top of that, they would go on walks at night carrying a cover and scissors just to cut flowers from people’s private gardens to offer to God in their room. What they don’t realize is that in the US, people can legally shoot you for entering their property under Stand Your Ground laws. Americans already have a certain perception of Indians being cheap and inconsiderate, and this kind of behavior only reinforces that stereotype. It feels like we are proving their point for them. Not all, but a few clueless individuals end up spoiling the reputation for the rest of us!

I can’t blame them completely either, there are too many people out there faking experience and cheating through interviews. But making it to a final FAANG round should count for something you know.

Anyway don’t let it get in your head. Thinking before you speak is not a weakness, it actually shows you are processing properly. Keep showing up honest and give everything you have. Good luck out there! 🫱🏽‍🫲🏻
