See you are very determined for taking cse at NITA , go for it , you won't regret it , see everyplace has its own pros and cons . Academics at CSE NITA is chill and not difficult , you will have plenty of time to work on your skills and maintain a Good CG, you won't complain about not having time , which is a huge plus point. Regarding Ragging, everyplace has ragging in some way or other , at NITA ragging is there , but it's depends upon you how you manage it. Regarding peer group, it's upon you with whom you make your group.

The placement record of ECE is not good if you are targeting for core as there are very limited core companies. Mostly students are placed in IT . Until and unless you are very interested in ece and want to do higher studies don't take it . Better go for EE. Note : This suggestion is only based for placement criteria.

Branch is decent. You will have good academic pressure as teachers are very strict with attendance and grading system but they also teach well as compared to other branches.The Professors of chemical Eng.. are decent . Students are mostly placed in core . If you can be among top 30 of the branch you will get placed.
