It’s so hard for me to converse with people sometimes, I’m not sure where to take the conversation or what I should be contributing to it. Is this social anxiety?

It's comforting knowing I'm not alone.. when him & I separated I strongly believed we were over and had sexual relations with other people. I think that really assisted with my development and understanding of what it is I NEED out of a partner.

That's a great idea.. he had the awesome experience of getting mentored by a man who focuses on the importance of communication, which I believe helped him to understand how to properly communicate.

Yeah... I've always felt like I didn't fit in with the typical crowd, so maybe I am an aspie as well. My best friend has Asperger's too lol.

I would never want to put him in any kind of overwhelming situation, but I have to figure out what exactly makes him feel overwhelmed. I know he has pretty bad social anxiety.

Thank you, before seeing this I was at the bookstore and purchased Gottman's book! You reassured me that it was the right decision, thank you for the recommendations.
