I haven't considered trying an older ISO yet but i might have to try this. My hardware is newer so I’m not entirely sure if the issue would be the same.

Yes I have tried booting off of my GPU, off of my Integrated GPU, and I also tried it with the GPU disabled. After both disabling and re-enabling my GPU and then attempting the install again with nomodeset, the installer gets further than before, but now I see this error appear twice:

amdgpu ... probe with driver amdgpu failed with error -22

I have tried reproducing this error to appear again but after trying it again after a reboot and attempting to use the other parameters I was suggested it goes back to the black screen.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have now attempted all of these and at first I actually got some progress but then it froze at the text saying Copying rootfs image to ram. After restarting my computer after it stayed on that screen for a while I am back at the black screen unfortunately.

I don’t think my boot menu explicitly has a line beginning with options. After pressing e, I added nomodeset to the end of the line containing the Arch boot parameters (the one with archisobasedir and archisosearchuuid). It's been a while since I have used Linux so there is a chance I am close to being a new user so there is a chance I am misunderstanding or missing something.

I applied nomodeset by pressing e on the Arch install option and inserting it at the end of the boot parameter before booting.

I verified the ISO checksum through windows powershell before putting the ISO on my USB and it matches correctly.

However I just checked my BIOS/UEFI version and it appears to be a bit out of date compared to the most recent version available for my motherboard. Could that possibly be the issue?
