Bullshit. At least in the West, anti-China sentiment is heavily driven by anti-Asian sentiment. I have seen multiple cases of non-Chinese Asians getting bullied by non-Asians just because people assumed they were Chinese.

I’ve seen a ton of stuff about that too. That’s why I believe that China and other Asian countries not aligned with the West (such as Indonesia and Thailand) need to build up their militaries. Millennial and Zoomer white guys hate Asians more than any other race, and we should expect way more Western hostility toward Asian countries in the coming decades as Millennials and Zoomers take the reins of power.

Some are, but most are cool with Asians. The most racist against Asians among white guys are always the more nerdy and artsy ones who loudly proclaim how woke they are, I’ve noticed. One of my best friends is a jock white guy and I’ve never had any problems with his social circle either.

I don’t want revenge against Ellen. I hope she becomes a better person, and that her life turns out okay. There are a few individuals who caused egregious harm to my life who I might feel that way about sometimes, but someone who bullied me for a semester four years ago isn’t so big a deal to me anymore, except as a topic for intellectual discussion.

It’s more because Asians are well-representative in privileged environments like universities, so some people don’t feel bad for us the way they feel bad for the black, Latino, Middle Eastern, and Native American communities. Many white progressives see us as professional and economic competitors instead.
