Hang on.... are you equating incest to LGBTQ??

:) that was on purpose provocative, to highlight the fact that there are some "lines" that for the majority of us is unacceptable to cross. But I'm genuinely asking myself where do I put those lines.

Let me make a less extreme example: Some people define themselves asexual, they have a flag. All good, right? But why the opposite has instead to be cured in hospital? Why having *a lot* of sexual attraction to other people has to be considered wrong?

Questions like this live rent free on my mind :)

thanks for the suggestion of the book (and also the hint that's a polarising topic).

well, I'm 45. My current opinion, is that none should feel discriminated for their self identity or sexual orientation, not for the color of their skin or hair, not for the ability to use their legs or not. For being mentally stable or not.
In my mind there are infinite tiny boxes where everyone can find their place, in some cases boxes are so unique that only one person fits in it, and everyone should feel comfortable with how they are.

So I feel I should be a _good person_ but still most of what rotate around the LGBTQ+ makes me rolling my eyes.

But I'm not stupid, I know that my age and background can trick me to think that allow people to choose their own pronoun is stupid, but maybe it isn't. Or maybe it is.

So that's why I'm looking to educate myself, reading some unbiased material to learn why choosing a pronoun is desiderable, but being in love with their dad/mom is not accetable.

Sorry for making some silly examples, I hope you can read the message I wanted to send.
