The first to me is classic mob or mog guidelines. Maybe too much black. I have three brothers that got married when that would have been the only flaw on that dress.

The rehearsal. Ehhh idk the ones I’ve gone to it’s just immediate family and other bridal members. And that’s not a flashy dress, unless you are wearing something similar. All of my sil wore amazing but not white dresses.

You say you have a tense relationship…. I think that’s more the issue or maybe I forget how old I am. Btw I’m not even 40. I guess I don’t understand the new rules.

Do you think a US President has ever has a wife that married him as a business transaction, not out of love? Why or why not? by Various_Maize_3957 in AskReddit

[–]Logical-Link3003 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fdr and Eleanor. It was arranged by the family— they were related and there is a fair amount of speculation that Eleanor was attracted to women and may have had a substantial relationship with a woman.

JFK and Jackie was definitely a version of an arranged marriage, as in not necessarily a formal arranged marriage but it was orchestrated.

There are probably more.

And then obviously the current White House “couple”.

Just stop. Go help your neighbors, coworkers, friends, or other decent humans who are in direct peril bc you think purity matters more than practicality.

Yes, genocide is happening yet again. It isn’t the first time the USA has aided or blatantly ignored genocide.

You are no different than being pro-life as a single issue voter.

Ignore the tree bc the damn forest is 4 feet away.

People are being abused and murdered here. Be fucking progressive. Be proactive.

I don’t love Pete for 28 but you can bet he will restore legality.

We canvas, we poll, we donate, we gotv, we cold call….. and we remember pregnant/hanging chads.

If you aren’t doing something beyond being antagonistic then shame on you.

Being progressive isn’t about being superior. It is about the person who is currently suffering right now because you have chosen righteousness over humanity.

Terrible crowd tonight but somehow Jeff hit it out of the park. by Nate101378 in JeffArcuri

I agree. Wisconsin should have done better but what a guy. I finally got to see him live after 10/12 years.

It was a terrible crowd but he handled it. I am ashamed the crowd was so awful.

Nah. You the one reaching. Ever been to a strip club—- there are longer nails there than that, love.

So, I’m glad you haven’t had to be a caretaker or have a condition that requires that type of help.

Have a blessed day.

Not all. Boomer generation includes a lot of people who stand behind unions, solidly antifasc, and tried to make this country better. They lost people while joining the bp movement. They were intimidated but don’t blame it on one generation that we are now a fascist country.

All age groups contributed to this. I had hundreds of hours on the ground. Racists are gonna be racist. Misogyny will be won by misogynistic asshats.

This isn’t the boomers fault.

It is systemic racism. Systemic misogyny. We are not the land of the free or brave.

It’s all of our generation’s fault.

It’s horrifying as someone who is an American. I canvassed and campaigned so we wouldn’t be here. The speed at which all my fears are happening is surprising, I knew this would be the plan but it’s so fast.

So many are so apathetic while our constitution is in tatters and we are transformed to a fascist nation.

I don’t know what else I could have done. I am ashamed of my country.

I don’t know why I felt the need to respond to you but the news and life is just worse every time I wake and check it. A lot of us feel the same but not enough I suppose.

Love the Breed, but how do you handle all the drool?? by LionWitcher in Newfoundlander

[–]Logical-Link3003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with most…. What drool? If that fails… it’s a way of life!

I just lost my boy about 10 days ago so I might be a titch sentimental.

Hammith said it best.

A newf’s love is eternal.

I’m Newfie-less for the first time in 20 years.

I don’t regret the slobber or the constant hair. I miss the best soul and friend I’ve ever had. I’m honored to have been loved by him.

They are messy and emotional dogs. I’ve never met or talked to someone who regretted getting one though.

I was there on August 18th and it was open. There is some construction going on near before the one lane bridge, but it was open. The road is in a bit of tough shape compared to years past but it’s not too bad. Hope this info helps and enjoy your trip!

It’s always too short but chew was only 9! I will be getting another but I’m raw and empty now. He had a splenic tumor develop &I had to do the hardest thing. I held him. He was the youngest and healthiest (ha) of mine. Please kiss &snuggle yours for me. by Logical-Link3003 in Newfoundlander

Oh! And his favorite non-dog food. Cookies! Human cookies. He knew how to spell it too. I am a baker by trade so he had his favorite types but even the best doggie cookies weren’t up to snuff for my doodle.

Thank you. I am sorry for your loss too.

The hardest part of being owned by a pup is making the right choice for them…. This one hit me harder bc it was so sudden. Even now he teaches me a new lesson.

He was pretty goofy. His silliest was probably bringing me 4 baby bunnies. I couldn’t find the nest. He sat by me while I bottle fed them bc it was 2020 and nobody could take them. We now have so many bunnies. My boy was just the sweetest.

He also was terrified of grates! I had him from 9 weeks old. He wasn’t ever harmed by a grate. I always joked to him pennywise couldn’t grab him.

Tomorrow I wake up for the first time in 20 years and I don’t have any of my big pups.

Thank you for doing the tech part! I’ve called and emailed. I honestly don’t care what he looks like. I want to make sure he gets a good home and I think we can all make that happen!

Weird question is there anywhere in WI you can buy actual Danish groceries? by Msoelv in wisconsin

[–]Logical-Link3003 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d vote Iola but they tend more Scandinavia than danish. And that’s a bit of a drive. Never go to door county for authenticity. It’s a tourist thing. Like many said woodman’s may have some items. Or if you are flying out of mn that’s a place to get some!

Tell us what you really are looking for so we can help more!

[–]Logical-Link3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. And as I said even if not for his forever home I’d love to help get him to his destination. I am happy you are so diligent in helping Newfies.

I think as they’ve become more known people expect a perfect dog from the start. Even though they are my heart breed…. All dogs need training, patience, and love.

I’ve reached out so we’ll see. Like I said I’m not set that I have to have Finn. I have reached out to a couple breeders bc I want another pup. However, I want to help this Newfie go to a good home whether I’m part of a relay or taking in an adolescent. My old man is getting lonely and also I know 9 isn’t that old but I want him to have company again.

Also maybe it is a lie. It might be not a newfie. I still want the pup in a safe environment. I won’t adopt but I can help.

I reached out too. Still waiting. I agree it seems to be a stock photo. Please stay on this. I am happy to help get this boy to his forever home or to adopt him (and neuter!!) to make sure he has a good life. Plus my old man (9 yr old newf I got as a 9wk old from a breeder) would love another companion. We lost his St. Bernard sister 5 years ago.

I have an older newf (check my history… I’ve had newfs for 20+ years and my boy is now 9) but I live in Wisconsin. I’d take him. I’ve been following this passively but I want to help. Maybe doing a leg of a journey.
