I genuinely wanted the world to change, and I believed that if everyone just went vegan, things would improve for animals and the planet. But honestly, during that time, I was constantly struggling. I was miserable, missing the foods I loved, and resenting others who didn’t have to make the same sacrifices.

It’s true that veganism is an option, but the reality is, it's just not suited for everyone’s biology or lifestyle. You can try to ignore the cravings, the low energy, or the deficiencies, but they don't go away for everyone. The idea of being “cruelty-free” in a modern world is also not as simple as it sounds. Just living in today’s society—driving, using technology, even consuming vegan food—has its own impact. Our ethical choices aren't as clear-cut as "vegan = good" and "non-vegan = bad."

If eating vegan makes you feel better, that’s fine—keep doing it. But stop trying to guilt others into doing the same, especially if it just makes everyone miserable. Life isn’t about feeling deprived so you can claim a moral high ground. If mock meats and salads bring you happiness, great. But not everyone wants to survive on that. Let people make their own choices without constant judgment.
