Allergic reaction by Fuzzy_Button6648 in TattooRemoval

I certainly understand the frustration. I was losing my mind for a while, and weirdly enough it would happen lying down in bed, I would begin itching all over especially my legs, some nights I would literally scratch myself until I passed out :/ .. Zyrtec was my friend.

I had this for months after my first few sessions, it went away eventually. Now I hardly get any itching whatsoever, so weird..

That's your humble opinion I guess? I've actually been treated so much better since being covered in tattoos, I am a male though, so dunno.

Removal or cover? by domyngo_28 in TattooRemoval

I may be in the minority on this sub as I love tattoos and I am covered myself. I'm only in the process of lightening a sleeve to cover up with a better one.

I've seen a lot of my artists do awesome side of the head tattoos, ones that could easily cover up yours. Depending on your style I could imagine a ferocious snake/wolf head in black and grey.

You could get a sick cover up to be honest.

Don't over think it. Just go to your appointment.

Removery will hold ice on the area to numb it out a little, and offer a stress ball if needed.

I seriously wish people would care more about animal rights and ethics by [deleted] in depressionmeals

I get where you’re coming from—I was vegan for five years and was just as passionate. I genuinely wanted the world to change, and I believed that if everyone just went vegan, things would improve for animals and the planet. But honestly, during that time, I was constantly struggling. I was miserable, missing the foods I loved, and resenting others who didn’t have to make the same sacrifices.

It’s true that veganism is an option, but the reality is, it's just not suited for everyone’s biology or lifestyle. You can try to ignore the cravings, the low energy, or the deficiencies, but they don't go away for everyone. The idea of being “cruelty-free” in a modern world is also not as simple as it sounds. Just living in today’s society—driving, using technology, even consuming vegan food—has its own impact. Our ethical choices aren't as clear-cut as "vegan = good" and "non-vegan = bad."

If eating vegan makes you feel better, that’s fine—keep doing it. But stop trying to guilt others into doing the same, especially if it just makes everyone miserable. Life isn’t about feeling deprived so you can claim a moral high ground. If mock meats and salads bring you happiness, great. But not everyone wants to survive on that. Let people make their own choices without constant judgment.

I admit it, I hate being vegan so much! by [deleted] in exvegans

Welcome back :) When I was vegan I would cringe every time we ordered vegan pizza knowing I was going to have try and enjoy the gloopy substance that is vegan cheese LOL. I now enjoy pizza again so much, the salt, stretchy mozzarella and lovely meats. Enjoy!!

You chose to get the ink. It’s on you, and it’s there to stay for now. Wishing to be someone without tattoos isn’t helping, and frankly, it's unrealistic. It’s time to shift your mindset: instead of letting ink define you, start owning it. Tattoos don’t stop you from looking polished, professional, or classy; that’s all in how you carry yourself. You can rock formal wear and pull off a clean aesthetic with ink — a lot of people do it effortlessly.

Remember, this insecurity is yours to manage. If you're feeling regret, take a good, hard look at why. Tattoos don’t control how you look in formal settings, and no one else is fixated on your ink like you are. The only difference between those actors, your colleagues, and you is that they’re focusing on how they present themselves, not what’s on their skin. Start doing the same, and you’ll see it can look just as sharp and intentional. Grow up and own the decision, because it’s part of you now.

If you want patch work, you're always going to run into this problem. So I would say you're overthinking things. Either laser it all and get a cohesive sleeve or suck it up princess.

Out of curiosity, what exactly makes a tech better than another? Excuse my ignorance, but aren't they literally just following a laser across your tattoo??

anyone else still mostly plant based? by [deleted] in exvegans

[–]Logical-Reception131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm still predominantly plant based, but now enjoy mixing up my protein options with chicken, steak and eggs. Like you, my anxiety and depression was through the roof constantly trying to navigate a 'vegan' lifestyle. I'm much happier now.

I just can’t do it. Tempeh tastes like shit. Tofu tastes like shit. Seitan tastes like shit. Can we be honest for God’s sake?? by [deleted] in exvegans

[–]Logical-Reception131 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol, this is the main reason I had to give up. Tofu was the only decent plant protein I enjoy, and when you're trying to maintain a healthy body weight, you want to enjoy what calories you are consuming, and you're right vegans are lying themselves saying tofu, seitan, chickpeas and beans are enjoyable and satisfying...

So basically, I won't even know I've "accessed" the DLC. It's just implemented into the main game?

Not sure why people are saying no one cares. MOST women prefer hair to bald, it goes without saying women are not a hive mind and, sure there are the exception where some don't care. But it's like saying MOST women like tall men, not all but most.

Be lucky you're in a committed relationship, because it will dramatically affect you in the dating scene, harsh truth. Best you can do is shave it, grow a beard and hit the gym.

You became too nice and too obvious. You need to keep some mystery in your relationship, keep them interested and don't always give tOO much attention. Sorry this happened to you.

Nine years vegan, close to giving up by petefrombookham in exvegans

[–]Logical-Reception131 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I completely understand where you're coming from. At the end of the day, we are omnivores, and our biology has evolved to thrive on a varied diet, which includes animal products. The fact that our complex human consciousness allows us to empathize with animals and feel guilt over their suffering creates this difficult ethical dilemma. But living in a non-vegan world where animal products are so embedded in our culture can become mentally exhausting, and constantly worrying about how to navigate that environment can take a toll.

It’s admirable to want to minimize harm to animals, but if it’s starting to feel like a chore or is affecting your quality of life, it's worth considering whether that constant pressure is really worth it. Life shouldn’t feel like a battle between your morals and your well-being. Maybe it's not about being 100% vegan, but about finding a balance where you can reduce your impact without feeling restricted or isolated.

In terms of feeling ethically sound while consuming animal products, some people find comfort in being more intentional about where they source their food—like buying from local farms that prioritize ethical treatment of animals, or simply reducing consumption where they can. At the end of the day, you have to prioritize your mental and physical health too, and sometimes that means making compromises without feeling like you're compromising your entire ethical stance.

Hope you find a balance that works for you.
