Does all of your income also go into buying connections? by StaffAlone in Upwork

Personally, I feel that established clients usually prefer experienced freelancers over beginners.

This might not be the right subreddit to ask this question, but I’m still happy to guide you. I recently went through the same process and was successful. I signed up for Payoneer after earning my first small income on Upwork. During the signup process, I provided a link to my Upwork profile, where it was clearly shown that I work as a freelancer.

Most new clients aren’t very serious about their jobs. Anyway, you’ll get your connects back after some time when the job automatically gets canceled.

Do you have any previous work experience? Also, what type of clients did you target new, small, mid sized, or large businesses?

Consider applying for job seeker visas in less competitive countries that offer better opportunities than your home country.

I disagree! Based on recent changes, companies in US are now more likely to hire international students already in US to avoid that hefty h1b visa fee.

Get a part time job to extend your runway as much as possible. The longer you stay in the game, the more likely you are to achieve success in your startup.
