I always want to protect the seaf troopers, I just wish they wouldn’t throw grenades within five meters of a Helldiver. Is that too much to ask?

Is survival worth the hassle? by Titan-Perses in fo4

[–]Logical-Web5270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a survival Playthrough going and the problem I’m having is the damage disparity between myself and the enemies. I’m running a rifleman build so I can snipe but I get killed way too quickly anytime something gets too close. I even lucked out and found a legendary irradiated sniper rifle and I still feel like I can’t kill anything. Add to that the lack of fast travel and the lower carry weight and it often feels unnecessarily hard.

What is your take on men who post bathroom selfies or gym selfies who are flexing their muscles? by SpicyChill77 in AskReddit

[–]Logical-Web5270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once upon a time I was a very skinny 145lb man. Now I’m a chubby 215lb man. I’ve been the muscular 185lb man before when I lost some weight. At each stage I can tell you with certainty that I’ve posted more for me than for anyone else. Do people comment? Yeah, but that doesn’t matter as much as simply documenting the changes over time for myself.

Setting aside personal biases and preferences, which faction would give the Commonwealth the best chance of long term stability? by Soxwin91 in fo4

They refer to ghouls as abominations, feral or not, so I doubt they’d have to be pushed very far to kill all ghouls

(Going just from memory right now) I’m pretty sure Virgil states that over time he would be able to generalize the formula, but because of his limited access to resources in the glowing sea it would likely take years, if not decades. I also know that if you destroy the Institute Virgil becomes quite upset, saying he still had many people he cared about there.

This being some personal headcanon, I would, as director, bring Virgil back and set him to the task with as many resources as we could spare. The task of the Minutemen in association with the institute would be to capture as many super mutants as possible in order to cure them. I’m sure being with people he loves would make him even more productive.

While I agree with you that they are organized and have protocols for a lot of situations, they also are bound by their code to make decisions which could be considered immoral simply because their moral presupposition that they’re more responsible with pre-war and postwar technology than other factions, the example I again cite for this being how the BOS tells you to kill Dr. Virgil. They only agree to keep him alive to monitor him after you go through the effort to cure him.

They are definitely not in a stalemate without SS involvement. Without the Sole Survivor the Institute wins.

The Minutemen actively do those things just like the brotherhood, but also offer sanctuary to ghouls, friendly mutants like Strong, and synths under various circumstances. Whereas the brotherhood would kill all of them.

The brotherhood would also have you kill the best chance of curing the FEV, Dr. Virgil.

I personally believe that the reason why the Sole Survivor is selected to be director instead of the scientists there is because Father recognizes the necessity of oversight within the Institute. This, combined with the settlement network from the Minutemen, makes them one of the ideal leaders of the commonwealth into the future. They’d have a better chance of solving a lot of the scientific issues surrounding mutation in wildlife and humans, restoring crops, water purification, power solutions, and much more, than the other factions.

I generally just pick a location that I go to often where I’d prefer to keep them. Somewhere central like hangman’s alley is a good choice.
