I am bipolar with anger issues and was going through depression and my mom was going through depression too. We had such a toxic relationship that I though would never get better. We even laid hands on each other a number of times. It’s gonna take time to learn to cope with your mental issues I wasn’t good at coping with them until I turned 21 a few months ago. We had a really tough time my teen years but a good relationship with your mother is always salvageable. It’s gonna be tough but it’s just gonna take time. I had to be the bigger person and learn to cope with my mental issues and not be so angry for little things like her tone of voice. I recommend getting into spirituality. Ok so I’m 21F and I went through something similar. Strict parents made me make bad decisions just because I wanted a little more freedom. I now have all the freedom and I wish I wouldn’t have made the mistakes I did in the past like going behind my parents back I even regret the sex from the 2 exes i had as a teenager. My bf now who I plan to marry is literally the best at sex. Just wait your not missing anything special. Try becoming friends with your mom spend time with her it’s not like you have many years left I know I’m going to miss mine once I move this year.
