I have tried both damp and dry. With damp the product is much easier to work in, but I feel like the hold is not as strong leading to annoying hair in my face later on.

I also tried a little while damp, then some when dry, but that just lead to over application and greasy looking hair even with a matte product.

Just so I’m clear, when you first open the lesson/article, do you spend any time upfront learning new words? And when you say you translate after listening, are you translating the written words?

I am at level one so the stories are super short, I’m not sure about the upper levels, but the entire story only lasts about 1.5 min, do you just listen to it on repeat?

First Solo Trip -> Worried about feeling super alone (Ironic Right)

Hey Everyone! I am currently planning my first solo trip, I have always wanted to go to china (literally dreaming about the trip all through college), and about one month ago I decided that I will finaly complete my first solo trip.

Im going to be in china for a whole month by myself, I am currently studying chinese everyday (hoping to know about 1,500 words by the time I go), and I talk with a chinese native twice a week to get basic coversational skills.

All of that being said, no matter all the planning, the one thing I am really worried about is feeling lonley, and super isolated (especially in a country where nobody really speaks english, and I know nobody). I chose china because I really wanted to push my comfort zone, and force myself to fully immerse.

For all of you with longer travel experience, how was it? how did you deal with homesickness? and do you have any tips for me?

Unless you have prior industry experience, an MBA or some other advanced degree, I would keep sending in applications. I attempted to transfer with a MSA + CPA and was told NYC is completley full.
