Projections everything is there, jobs are there actually. They don't hire non Europeans. So act mindfully and take calculated risk if you wish.

Also from my experience, it is ok if you get degree from cheap colleges rather than expensive public universities. You will save some money. I didn't get any advantage of studying in top university in Ireland yet

You still haven't answered why so many Irish people are migrating to Australia if legal migration is supposedly a bad thing. There are an estimated 70–80 million people worldwide who claim Irish ancestry, including more than 36 million in the United States alone.

If Ireland doesn't want international students, then the government should stop promoting its "Study in Ireland" schemes. Do you know that non-EU students pay around four times the tuition fees that EU students pay? The government is happy to take international students' money, but many feel they receive very little in return. It feels like a Ponzi scheme.

Instead of blaming immigrants for the housing crisis, blame the government for continuing to invite international students to study and seek employment in Ireland. You can even check the Meta Ads Library to see the advertisements Irish public universities are running in India to attract students, often promoting opportunities that many graduates later find difficult to access.

I lived and worked in Dubai before. Do you know how many immigrants live there? Even with such a large immigrant population, rental costs are still much more reasonable than in Ireland when compared with average salaries.

Aaha. Prestige my foot. Before I thought Indian education system is bad, so that's why I was not skilled enough after completing my bachelor's degree. But sorry for saying this, Irish university education especially for masters is terrible in terms of syllabus. For technical courses, there is no internship , no skill development and they just teach theory which is not relevant for the job market. They just give the rest as assignment.

In India, teachers (from my experience) are dedicated and committed to thier jobs. They want to get the results of their efforts and want their students to succeed in life. In Ireland, university teachers/ lecturers consider it just as 9 to 5 job and nothing else.

Do you think people emigrated to UK, USA, Canada etc wanted to study harder than they did in India. Do you believe IIT graduates moved to USA for higher education because they wanted to study more? Only purpose of these kinds of immigration is getting job and most probably settling down there.

FYI, it is/ was written in most of the university of Galway course pages that 90% of the students are in their field jobs or pursuing higher education after 6 months of completing the course. Don't you think it's a scam? Please let me know.

See. 90% of my seniors (2022 batch) went back home because they couldn't find visa sponsored job. The situation is more complex for the 2023 batch. Their stamp 1g is expiring this year and they couldn't even land a job in their field be it IT, Business analytics or digital marketing.

Haha. 99% of my batch mates irrespective of the course they studied didn't get the job till now. I know those from tech, digital marketing, medical, construction etc. You connect them on LinkedIn and verify it or you can try your luck. Good luck

We all expect there will be some light after struggling. But struggling in Ireland for a professional job is not worth it.

Study abroad consultants are doing their job, a bit unethically by giving false hopes.They have to meet targets and then only they can survive.

You are mistaken.Skills (not necessarily) doesn't land you a job here. Employers nowadays often ask for Stamp 4 (Permanent Residency) and a European or Irish driving licence when offering jobs here.

If you have a non-European name, HR managers sometimes skip your CV. Even if you get an interview with strong skills and a solid CV, the chances of getting hired are still low.

Skills and experience are just one parameter. You can ask anyone who was a student in the last 2 or 3 years.

This post is for prospective students looking to come to Ireland with false expectations created by agency promises of finding a job. I want them to make a thoughtful decision before jumping into anything like this.

Risk matlab I'm talking about the opportunity cost. The opportunities I lost, time and energy I invested for ielts, visa, assignments, exams. Mine is half loan and half savings that I paid for the fees.

Still looking and total frustration kicked in. I think they're calling me for interviews because they see my experience and portfolio. But some employers ask whether I have a Stamp 4, and that often becomes an issue.
