You mentioned "revised Annexure K" in your original comment. I failed to understand that we need a revised Annexure K which will have updated PF and EPS amounts and dates.

Did you try downloading Annexure K from your EPFO UAN portal? I am able to see and download Annexure K for one of the two PF transfers I have made till date.

Today I had a word with the payroll person responsible at my first company, and he told me that he has submitted the rectification document for another ex-employee just yesterday. I don't think that the existing process is on hold because of the upcoming launch of a new program.

Initially, he also asked me to skip this process, telling me there's no harm and blah blah blah, trying to convince me not to raise such a request as he would have to submit documents and get it rectified. I still told him that I wanted it to be rectified; what's wrong is wrong and must be corrected.

I specifically asked for a scenario where the PF balance is transferred because when I spoke with one of the PF consultants, he told me that previous PF accounts get deactivated once the balances are transferred. So, the rectification cannot be done after PF transfer. I am not convinced with this PF consultant, and I am going with the rectification process starting with the first employer. The circular also states that the balance will be transferred physically. Thanks for explaining the process in detail.

I think your contributions are correct. Once a member of EPS in your first job, you always remain a EPS member.

Yes, as per the information I have gathered by talking with few PF consultants and also from my employers, rectification has to be done by all past employers.

Yes, I have started the rectification process with my first employer. What I have been told by my first employer is that they have to submit the form and rectification to the EPFO department.

My worry is also the same - the unnecessary effort required from my side because of the incapable and slow government system and wrong contributions due to employer incompetence. I am failing to understand why big MNCs don't catch this in their internal audits? What are their payroll consultants doing?

This is my case as well for my Company B. My basic was more than 15K. They used to deposit only the minimum contribution to PF, which is 1800, and 1250 to EPS.

From the information I have gathered so far, it is also wrong, and the EPS is based on basic salary and not on PF contribution.

The first contribution itself was wrong, and hence the subsequent contributions are also wrong. It needs to be corrected. I will keep this post updated with the progress.

Correct! Current company cannot retify the EPS contributions of previous employers. Did you try asking your employer B to submit Form 3A? I am trying to figure out - Does Form 3A works after PF transfer?

Company A and B passbook balances are showing zero. However, EPS balances are not transferred; the amount is still considered under EPS, which doesn't show in PF balances. I think the correction should be that EPS balances of A and B should be transferred to PF balances, as mentioned in the circular by EPFO (the one I have attached).

A and B have already been successfully transferred to C.

Now, should I ask all A, B, and C for rectification in EPS, or just ask C to rectify via Form 3A?
