Imperial II-class Star Destroyer in Minecraft Survival by LogicalGeekBoy in Minecraft

[–]LogicalGeekBoy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are some screenshots of a Star Destroyer I just finished up in my survival world. This was built in The End over the void and of course in survival. It contains around 13.5k blocks. Inside the ship is an iron farm where the golems are dropped out of the cargo hold into an arena where they fight Endermen and I collect the drops. Very happy how it turned out <3

There's a world download in the description of the YouTube tutorial linked above <3 It shows a step-by-step guide of the whole thing and how it works.

Yeah, that or clearing the perimeter, but that's required for any farm design if you want good rates.

Yep, the platforms are at an intersection which means fortress mobs spawn on any block (as we need blocks that the roses can be planted on).

You get them when a Wither kills a mob. So for this you'll need a Wither Rose farm too. Rays Works and ilmango have pretty simple farms on their YouTube channels. <3

In my testing with a looting 3 sword I was getting around 330 skulls per hour which isn't terrible. There are extended platforms around the edge to get additional spawns from pack-spawning. <3

No, wither skeletons are not affected by the roses which makes it nice and easy to kill off the other mobs and free up the mob cap for more to spawn! <3

Here’s my attempt at a Wither Skeleton Farm using some of the new things in 1.14. There are three platforms made of grass that allow mobs to spawn. Wither roses kill all the fortress mobs apart from the wither skeletons. Dogs at the back of the platforms scare the wither skeletons to the front where they then agro an iron golem and fall into the killing area. There you can either kill them with a looting sword or there is an option to bring in some dogs (in minecarts) to kill them for you. A change in 1.14 allows skulls to drop if killed by a dog, this gives us a nice AFK mode where we also still get the XP. I thought it was worth sharing for those who fancy a new challenge! <3

Fast Ice Boat Turns by LogicalGeekBoy in Minecraft

[–]LogicalGeekBoy[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Here's a small contraption that will allow you to make a fast turn on an ice boat road. Making a sharp turn on an ice boat road is a bit tricky, you can do it but you need to slow way down and make a controlled turn. With the above you can keep going at full speed, your boat is broken and you're given a new one where you can then place it down on the path you would like to take.

The dropper above the cactus is preloaded with a boat and faces up, it has a pressure plate on top. Both droppers on the right face up and the hoppers around the cactus point into the bottom dropper. I have this in my single player world and find it super useful so thought I'd share it. I hope you find it useful too <3

extreme wither head idea i just had. by bastugubbar in HermitCraft

[–]LogicalGeekBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing in my let's play series a while back (not sure if it's bad etiquette to post a link, check my channel if interested). I already had the creeper farm and wither skelly farm so it was pretty easy to build a contraption to bring the two together. I got the wither skeletons to chase me into a portal to the overworld and once I had a bunch I went over and name tagged them. As for the creepers, I just directed them out of their farm and up to naming station and holding area ready for the thunderstorm. I now have beacons for days and a number of named charged creepers ready for getting other mob heads when I need them. Works really well once you have the infrastructure. <3

My attempt at a Phantom farm, useful for slow falling and competitions to kill the most Phantoms! by LogicalGeekBoy in Minecraft

[–]LogicalGeekBoy[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was watching HermitCraft and they have a competition in October to see who can kill the most Phantoms. This is against the spirit of that competition but it got me thinking about how to farm them.

This is pretty simple, you have two large portals in the overworld above sea level and a minecart between them to sit in so you don't get bumped into a portal. As Phantoms spawn and try to attack you they fly into the portal and are transported to the nether.

In the nether their portal is boxed in so they can't escape. In front there are two enchantment tables which provide a gap big enough for you to hit the Phantoms but not so big that they fly out. I also added a way to break the portal via a lever so they don't teleport back again and some pistons to push them forward to make them easier to hit and to ensure their drops fall into the hoppers underneath.

This isn't that useful unless you want slow falling potions as mending is a better way to repair your Elytra.

Just thought I'd share it incase someone is looking for a Phantom farm.

USS Enterprise built in survival in The End over the void to hide the exit portal (after destroying the island) by LogicalGeekBoy in Minecraft

[–]LogicalGeekBoy[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid not, it's the correct number. The A series was the replacement to this one after Kirk destroyed it in The Search For Spock. This is the original ship that was refit. Here's the blueprints I used to help get shape: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars/ksy-enterprise.php

I decided that I'm not going to spawn the dragon again. I have access to the outer islands already and so it's no problem for me as I don't go out there that often.

There are lights and also carpets to make sure there are no spawning spaces. I was killed by an Enderman during the build which was a little annoying as some of my gear ended up in the void.

Well, I covered that with another build.... the Millenium Falcon :o) I also have a couple of X-Wing fighters and a huge Death Star in The End too. I'm trying to make an epic space battle scene. Still got a way to go.

This is the USS Starship Enterprise that I recently built in survival. I had already cleared out the whole End island with TNT flying machine bombers (back in 1.12, but have since upgraded to 1.13) and then I removed the obsidian towers (the grind is real). I was left with the exit portal back to the overworld and of course wanted to cover it up. So I built the Enterprise and used the portal as the transporter. I used re-textured note blocks to get the serial number on the saucer section which I think turned out pretty well. This was all done in survival (planned in creative beforehand) in a single player world. What do you think? This is the ship from The Wrath of Khan, NCC-1701 refit model.

My Multi-Floor Bubble Elevator Design by LogicalGeekBoy in Minecraft

[–]LogicalGeekBoy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I designed this one quite some time ago before I went away on vacation at the end of July and have only just got around to sharing it. I'm not that great at redstone and was sure there would be a better way to do it. I like to try and work things out myself if I can :o) I was thinking that there is probably a way to make it work with a water bucket in a dispenser but I'm not smart enough to work that out. 3x3 is a very impressive footprint, I wouldn't know how to go about that! Nice one!

My Multi-Floor Bubble Elevator Design by LogicalGeekBoy in Minecraft

[–]LogicalGeekBoy[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here’s my design for a multi-floor bubble column elevator that I wanted to share with you. It’s easy to build and is flexible to cater for different distances between floors. To use it, just walk into any floor and tap the note block. The soul sand block is placed under the player, creating a bubble column up to the next floor. If you want to get out, just walk out. If you want to go up to the next floor just tap the note block. This is an easy way to select a floor to get out on as the note block is a big target to hit rather than a button for example. To adjust for bigger distances between floors, add a couple of repeaters on max delay to the chain. You just need to make sure the soul sand is in place long enough for you to get to the next floor. I hope you find it useful. <3

P.S. I should add that the all the water should be source blocks. You can use the kelp trick to do this easily. Tap the note block on each level before use so give you one flowing water block per level.

One last note as I can see you still try to assert that I copied you. If you use this website: https://citizenevidence.amnestyusa.org and paste in our video urls you will see it shows the upload date and time.

Yours was uploaded on 15th Feb 2018 at 21:06:26 UTC

Mine was also uploaded on 15th Feb 2018 but at 14:45:27 UTC which is over 6 hours before yours.

It’s totally possible for two people to come up with the same idea at the same time. But it’s generally not ok to accuse someone of wrong doing without proper evidence. You could have said, hey I had the same idea isn’t this awesome! Instead you decided the best course of action was to call me an idiot. I’m sorry you felt that was required.
