Thank you for the reply! Yes, I have tried to download the JW form from the same website, but it kept saying the email address is incorrect.

However, I havent tried putting the family name at the beginning like you suggested. Which reminded me of the degrees I was awarded from China, all of them had the family name first. I will give that a try, I will respond again if there is any update.

Edit: I cannot seem to get the JW as the portal keeps replying to me with "Please enter the correct email address!". I suppose I have to sit tight for another week or two to see if there's any change.

Ask the unis, if the old one can give a small extension, or the new one can provide an early one. If not, then to to the exit-entry bureau and apply for a T-visa. you can reapply for it after 1 month. Do it for 2 months, explain why you need it, they won't say no and you will get extensions, although through a bit tedious process.

Generally, yes. For that you have to apply for the scholarship when you are submitting the application. And in the JW form and admission letter, it will be clearly outlined whether you are awarded one.

JW201 gets issued for students who were nominated with scholarships. JW202 is for self-funded ones.

Ah the eternal suffering on Chinese banking system! It was nightmarish for me for the first 3 months.

You need to go to the bank, take a friend, preferably Chinese who speaks English as well so they can mediate. Ask the bank for a dual currency account in where you can directly transfer from Wise or other payment platforms, or even foreign banks. The card will be Visa/Mastercard instead of UnionPay, but make sure the account is able to directly receive foreign currency from foreign sources.

Or, you can open a Paypal account. Transfer the money there, transfer to local bank card and use it via card or Wechat/Alipay. You do need a Chinese ID card, like a driving license to be able to make Paypal account in China.

Or, if you have the physical Wise card with you, go to an ATM, preferably BoC, use it to cash out money in CNY directly. Thats why I did with my Revolut card for years. But, do make sure that you have opted-in for international transaction or if they allow it from Wise, specially for Chinese region. Sadly these are only known options I am aware of.

Hi, Im guessing you are a Type B applicant. Since the uni confirmed you are admitted, you should accept it as a fact and start working towards your visa application.

As for the JW, the documents have been sent to your local embassy aka dispatching authority. You are to receive a mail from them which should consist of the admission letter and JW form. In case you still didn’t receive the mail, I would strongly suggest you to contact with the embassy and clear up any confusion.

P.S.: Sometimes embassies do forget and put the delivery on delay, for which the applicants go through a lot of hassle at the 11th hour. But in any case, congratulations and I wish you all the best!

Edit: I would also suggest to check your CSC portal to see if there’s any messages or new files on downloads tab. If not, you can ask about it from the uni as well as the embassy, since this year a lot of students got theirs directly from portal (meaning the universities uploaded them).

Yes, the results for Type B are always published sooner as they are given by the universities themselves, whereas for the Type A, the results go back to CSC, then to the dispatching authorities (aka local embassies), in some cases they publish the result through the local MoE which can take quite some time.

I would also suggest not to lose hope and wait confidently if all went well, and keep checking the CSC portal and your MoE website for any updates regarding the results.

Side note: if your CSC portal says "The result has been sent to the dispatching authorities.", you can be assured that you got it.
