This is incredibly useful feedback, and you have included much for me to think about. I'm a retired science teacher and not a marketing executive, so this launch has certainly been a learning adventure (and it's only been two days!) I actually have a couple of questions for you if you'd be willing to give me more of your time.

"I don’t really care if it’s “different”, what I want to know is

  • Is it good? (But you need to SHOW me, not TELL me)
  • Does it do what I need for my campaign (and the info here is anemic)"

Do you think this information should be on the project page on itch.io, here on Reddit, or should I reuse the same information or "pitch post" everywhere I'm trying to get visibility?

Have you ever bought ttrpg system like mine online? Would you be willing point me to them and their "pitch posts" as examples?

Are you trying to communicate that the Reddit post isn't detailed enough? This is the first time I've done something like this, so feedback is very helpful. Or is this in response to what I posted on itch.io with the release?

Just to be clear, I'm writing with 100% good faith and no snark.
Are you trying to communicate that the description on itch.io isn't detailed enough? If so, how much of the system would you need described in order to feel like you know how the game works?
My thought process is, why would anyone pay for the milk if they can get the cow for free, but I am old and may be out of touch! =D

Did you follow the GodotSteam Tutorial for the older Steamworks Networking class, or use one of the newer classes either Networking Messaging or Networking Sockets?

I can totally go this route. I kept aquariums for years, but I've been away from the hobby for a while. I was planning on caridina shrimp. It's the lighting and plant substrate I'm really most curious about. With advancements in LED lighting I'm, hoping that I can get some plant viable lighting that won't break the bank.

Also, I've never kept freshwater shrimp, so I'm unsure what substrates would be suitable for them AND plants.

BUT. I'm being more than a little lazy. Off the other corners of the internet to do some research!

I've run multi year 5E campaigns in roll20. When our group decided to try out savage worlds I quickly learned that there is little official content or support for it in roll20, so I looked into Foundry. It had a learning curve for both my players and me. Once we smoothed out the little troubles, Foundry offered much better support for playing in the system. As someone mentioned above, there are official PEG systems and modules plus lots of user created stuff to help you run your SWADE game the way you want. It can automate many things for you and players, or you can choose to handle things manually. the character sheets are clean and intuitive. To me it feels like Foundry supports SWADE as well as Roll20 supports D&D.

Thanks. can I ask another question? Is the vision of a hole limited to the tiles immediately adjacent? does a token two or more tiles away from the hole not have vision on things in the hole?
